After this break, we’ll be back on 20 August with a few weeks left to visit Nuno da Luz’s solo exhibition 𝘼𝙞𝙧𝙨.
We’ll keep you posted about the good news from our artists!
On the occasion of Daniel Blaufuks’ solo exhibition “The Days Are Numbered”, the book with the same title is published by for the portuguese edition and for the English edition.
The book is composed of pages 1840 to 2206 from the year 2023, going through Blaufuks’ daily ritual of composing a “non-diary” as he calls it, made of photographs, found images, documents, and written words which offer a non-linear narrative of private events and collective memories.
’ exhibition at is on view until 7 October.
The book is available online, at the museum bookstore and at the gallery.
We are thrilled to announce our participation at Frieze Sculpture 2024 with a presentation by Céline Condorelli!
Curated by Fatoş Üstekthis year’s edition carves “a place for playful encounters, socially and environmentally conscious themes, as well as conceptual and spiritual practices that expand the notion of public sculpture.”, she expounds.
Céline Condorelli will be showing ”Untitled (to Rosa Luxemburg)”, a sculpture inspired by her explorations into playground equipments, alongside “After Work”, a video work developed in collaboration with Ben Rivers and with narration of Jay Bernard. Both works tackle Céline’s interest about the intricate relationship between work and free time and her probing into the unseen efforts behind cultural production.
Save the date for Frieze Sculpture opening at the English Garden in Regents Park on 18 September!

𝘼𝙞𝙧𝙨 🌪️ Nuno da Luz's show at the gallery is on view until 7 September.
"“Sunbirds” are an undulation of matter and sense. “Sunbirds” are forms defined by all the movements they could make, but don’t make. In “Sunbirds” the text transcends its textuality and becomes texture. Or, to think through Fred Moten in terms of “musicality” and “poetics” as resistance to confinement—that which resists settling and keeps us in resonance, not as something that dissolves, closes, or harmonizes, but as something that points to relation." - Carolina Jiménez, researcher and curator.

Nuno da Luz’s 𝘼𝙞𝙧𝙨 online viewing room is now live!
Nuno da Luz’s practice undulates between ecologies of noise-making, attentive listening and book-making. For his solo exhibition at the gallery, the artist thought of it like an album, featuring multiple tracks and a bonus hidden track, synthesizing complex structures into an unmissable experience.
𝘼𝙞𝙧𝙨 is an intricate blend of sound, gesture and form where the space becomes a living, breathing entity, reacting to every subtle change in its environment.
𝘼𝙞𝙧𝙨 is on view until 7 September.

🌪️ 𝘼𝙞𝙧𝙨, Nuno da Luz’s solo exhibition at the gallery may offer respite from the heat of these days!
“Filled with membranes, linings, interfaces and zones of contact between bodies, materials, and volumes, the exhibition is a longing for touch. Caresses to prepare the senses. To attune. Sensitive to the surrounding conditions—pressure, vibration, temperature, light, contact—these are the traces left by an encounter, and at the same time, what made it possible, or will make it possible”, writes Carolina Jiménez, researcher and curator, in the exhibition text.

Charbel-joseph H. Boutros presents 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘌𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘣𝘭𝘦 at the Fondation Vincent van Gogh Arles 🌠
Curated by Jean de Loisy and Bice Curiger, the group exhibition "Van Gogh and the Stars" illuminates the connections of Van Gogh's magnum opus, offering a fresh perspective on the sources that inspired the piece.
𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘌𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘣𝘭𝘦 is a work which opens like a book at the centre of which the artist carved a void to hold a night of a specific geography. In ' work, invisibility is charged with intimate, geographical, and historical layers and finds poetic lines that extend beyond the realm of existing speculations and realities.
"Van Gogh and the Stars" is on view from 1 June to 25 August, 2024.

Through her pieces, Condorelli challenges us to consider the act of looking as a conscious choice, one that not only brings objects into our view but also situates us in a web of interconnected perceptions.
In line with John Berger's seminal work, "Ways of Seeing," 's artworks serve as portals into the complexities of visual engagement, reminding us that our vision is a dynamic, ever-active force shaping our understanding of the world and our place within it.
Having been Artist in Residence at the National Gallery, Condorelli's creations in 𝘗𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪 (𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴) offer a unique insight into her exploration of the institutions and the synergy they create with individuals.
