Since 2015, SOSD has conducted Animal-Assisted-Activities through it's Healing Paws program, where volunteers bring selected dogs to people in institutions, homes, hospital, in casual meet-and-greet sessions so that the dogs can bring some comfort and joy to those in need.

Our mission has always been straightforward - to spread the love and joy of interacting with a dog to people around us who need that extra cheer.

The sessions were always filled with laughter and joy. I used to bring Bacon to Assisi Hospice every week, when Healing Paws first started. He was given a 2nd second Chance in life, and in turn, he was giving back to others who needed his company. It was so beautiful.

Today, the Healing Paws program continues to conduct sessions weekly. We paused for a while after Covid, but has since been picking up speed again. 9 years on, volunteers continue Healing Paw's mission - to help others, without asking for anything in return, with no motives, no agendas, no politics.

Bacon, and most of the pioneer dogs in the program, have passed the rainbow bridge. But they would have been so proud of the legacy that they have left behind, when they see the pure love and goodness that the program continues to spread ❤️

With my Angels - Dr Phoong and Dr Abi, who will helm the latest Regenerative Centre in Kuala Lumpur - Aura Regenerative Wellness and Clinic, which features 5000sf of wellness and medical treatments. We go beyond helping you look young and beautiful. Body contouring treatments are not only for aesthetic improvements.. the treatment I prescribed a lot in my practice is Redustim -- which uses electromagnetic waves to reduce visceral fat, or belly fat. This is the fact in the abdominal cavity, which predisposes to harmful medical conditions such as heart attacks.

More and more, I find myself undergoing the treatments for functional improvements -- e.g. strengthening of muscles, improvement of metabolic profiles. The emphasis of our upcoming Kuala Lumpur clinic will be on regenerative treatments as well - to fully be younger from inside out. I believe that this is the future of aesthetic medicine..

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR PROFHILO STUDY FOR THE EYE AREA.

We are seeking 5 participants for a study, using PROFHILO for treatment of the eye region. Participants will undergo 2 injections of PROFHILO into the temples, and undereye region,1 month apart. The study duration is 6 months, after which the results will be published in a medical journal.

Enrolment into the study is free of charge. At the end of the study, you will be reimbursed a total of $100 for transport (total of 4 visits) to our clinic.

A short trip to Bangkok for an epic award presentation event - the Golden Record Awards by Merz.

Besides winning the infinite award for Belotero, I was very surprised to be presented the a token of appreciation for being a global KOL of Merz Aesthetics. Thank you very much for a wonderful evening!

Steamboat is a staple of the lunar New Year. One question I always get asked is if the collagen soup is beneficial for our skin.

Sadly there is no such thing as beauty in a hotpot. Drinking collagen soup does not directly boost collagen production in the skin as the molecules are too large to be absorbed into the bloodstream or skin directly. If you are looking for protein, you are also better off eating lean meat, which will give you a lot more protein.

Having said that, there's no harm in enjoying a pot of delicious collagen broth. It is definitely more healthy than sugary and fried food.

The party started even before we landed. Familiar faces and friends are what makes a conference trip enriching and fun! IMCAS 2024 is a melting pot of learning, with experts gathering from all over the world to learn, share, and network. It's a blast!

Woke up at 4: 30am, here in Paris, thousands of miles away, but with you, missing you terribly. It's a beautiful city, and I'm reconnecting with friends from all over the world - but just last night, someone pointed out there I may be here in person, but something was missing. She could see that I was sad and tired. How could I not be? When I know that this time on returning home to Singapore , I will no longer see your wagging tail or have you jump up on me.

For the past 10 years - that was the definition of home - having you welcome me wholeheartedly on coming back, as if nothing else in the world mattered. You are the best memories what I have of SOSD shelter. Bacon was luckier. He never had to spend a day in the shelter, but you had to endure 5 years. I visited the shelter so regularly only because of you. Every little time we got to spend during the shelter visits was pure magic. We were Purely present. An experience which is hard to come by in our modern busy lives.

All we have now are memories - an in fact, in the end when we look back, memories are all that we have. Not our cars, not our houses, not our beautiful clothes and coveted luxury goods. And i remember everyone of them, as vivid as the day it happened. This is how I know that what we experienced was purest kind of love - one without judgment, without asking for anything in return, and one which traversed time and space - No matter how many years went by with you living in a small enclosure, you never forgot our connection, or blamed me for not bringing you home. All the mattered was that we made the best of our little time together.

You gave me what many people will never have the good fortune of experiencing. And for that, thank you, Momo. My baby, My best friend. ❤️
