All Staff Day recognises the incredible impact that teachers and non-teaching staff have had on all Temasekians!

Classes put together class parties while students from the 7 House also put up performances to share their appreciation to their teachers!
The PSG also created beautiful art pieces for every teacher!

In celebration of Teacher’s Day, TMS congratulates Dr Bryan Tan Yong Hao, this year’s recipient of the President’s Award for Teachers (PAT)!

Dr Bryan Tan is our School Staff Developer who not only manages the professional development of our teachers, he’s also a passionate and engaging Chemistry teacher who coaches his students to discover solutions, to dive into a subject from different perspectives. His biggest joy is in seeing teachers and students succeed.

As one of his students shares, “Dr Tan makes our lessons fun through experiments and the use of technology, and helps us see how Chemistry is applicable to our daily lives. Dr Tan is an empathetic listener who cares for us. He emphasises the need for us to have the “never-give-up” spirit and shares with us his personal stories so that we can be optimistic – to see beyond the face value of our current challenge and remain tenacious as we find solutions.

Alumni do take note! 🥳

In the preliminary rounds, our netball girls went against schools such as CHIJ St. Theresa's Convent, Nanyang Girls' High School, Hougang Secondary School and more.

Having fought tirelessly, our girls managed to qualify for the Quarter-Finals match and followed by the Semi-Finals match. However, they did not manage to win the Semi-Finals game.

Finally, in the third and fourth placement match, our girls once again fought very hard and challenged every ball. They won the placement match and emerged 2nd runner-up in the 2024 Netball NSG (League 3). Their great fighting spirit and resilience is appreciated and commendable.

Congratulations to our Temasek Freestylers for emerging as 1st Runner Up 🔥 on Sunday's Super24 Finals!!

The passion, resilience and drive that you have demonstrated throughout this journey has been inspiring! ❤️ Well done!!

Our three National Uniformed Groups, NPCC, NCC & NCDCC were conferred the highest tiered awards by the respective Uniformed Group HQs for their excellent work and contributions in 2023. These unit awards reflect the exceptional quality of contributions and commitments of our teacher officers, volunteers and cadets who have put in much time and effort to help contribute to their unit’s overall excellence and enhancing CCA experience for all.

The school also presented the UG Outstanding and Best Cadet award, awarded to the top cadets in the respective UG units. They recognise outstanding cadets who have displayed exceptional character and leadership qualities. Congratulations to all the UG units and their cadets!

We had a fantastic National Day celebration. The day started off with a National Day Observance Ceremony followed by an exciting assembly programme where we got to sing along to our favourite National Day songs, participated in quizzes and enjoyed wonderful performances by TAG and our 7 houses!

After that, the Sec 1s got to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit as they raised funds for the President’s Challenge through the GoMAD (Go Make A Difference) initiative. We all enjoyed the wide array of activities and games!

Temasek Sec celebrated our annual Mental Health Week last week. This year’s theme is ‘Nurture Your Mind, Nourish Your Body’! 💖Temasekians learned how to manage their wellness and emotions through recess booths, activities and talks. A myriad of external vendors, student leader groups and the PSG were invited to be part of the festivities.

Celebrating Singapore: Our Cultural Mosaic! Our diverse heritage is what makes us unique. From the rich traditions of our Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Eurasian communities to the beautiful blend of cultures beyond CMIO, we come together as one. This Racial Harmony Day, Temasekians embraced our differences and find strength in unity as we dressed in vibrant costumes and tried out traditional games and food! 😍

Our C division bowlers competed in the singles and doubles event last week.

Spirits were high as the team cheered for one another while scoring personal bests.

We wish them all the best for quartet events this week!! 🤩🤩

Celebrating our amazing shooters! 🥈 National 2nd place for the girls’ team and a strong 7th place for the boys’ team in the C Division competition! Some of our shooters also did exceptionally well in the individual categories. Way to hit the mark! 👏 🎯💥

The TIPpers are back! They are now working on a product idea for the Young Trailblazers Competition 2024. They have a product idea called INTERFACE which aims to help people who have hearing challenges, like the elderly, to communicate easily with their mobile phone.

Temasek Secondary School celebrated Youth Day with BUDDY DAY! On this day, Temasekians celebrated this special day by getting their friends to dress up together as either iconic duos, groups or just as friends!

This celebration of friendship began with a sharing on how to make friends by our Sports Captain chairman, A***n, and concluded with an amazing assembly organised by the Student Rep Committee. The assembly featured a games, a singalong session and amazing performances by students and teachers (and Principal!) alike!

Together with a special ice-cream treat and a beautiful house file, Buddy Day/Youth Day was indeed a celebration to remember!

Literary Odyssey came and conquered! The English and Literature Department revived the Literary Week in pure storybook style and fashion! With amazing performances such as skits, singing, dancing and poetry recitation, the audience was kept entertained for the whole two hours. They were also treated to see a different side of the teachers who also performed for the teacher’s skit finale. See you for the next instalment of the Literary Odyssey! Until next year!

For Temasek’s Literary Odyssey edition of Book Talk, the upper secondary students had the privilege of listening to Singapore’s home grown singer-songwriter Shazza who is making waves right now with much success and accomplishments under her belt. Shazza gave an insight to her origin story and also an inspiring and candid interview about how reading inspires her songwriting. Thank you Shazza!

As part of the English department’s very first Literary Odyssey, Term 3’s series of Book talks saw special guest speakers who were invited to promote reading among other things literary. The lower secondary students were treated to a fascinating sharing about the world of Science Fiction by Dr Dennis Yeo, NIE lecturer.

Youth Day is next Monday and it is a school holiday! Celebrate your youth while it counts. Leave a little sparkle everywhere you go ✨

It is happening this week!!! Come with your friends all dressed up in your favourite storybook characters! Even the teachers and staff will be sporting new looks on Friday afternoon, so let us celebrate the fantasy and escape that reading gives and immerse yourselves in a whole new world! The Literary Odyssey will be embarking this Friday. Be in the school hall by 2:20pm in character!

The Young Leaders Camp is here again! The 2-day workshop (28-29 May 2024) organised by the Peer Support Leaders, with support from the student leaders of Temasek, have helped more than 360 young leaders from over 13 primary schools to learn leadership skills and values through fun experiential games!

This year's theme was about space and the specially designed activities was an enjoyable time for the many young leaders!
