New Faculty Orientation began today! We are thrilled to welcome these three talented professionals to our school!

Lutheran Social Service’s event for Refugees at ACDS on Saturday was incredible! So many ACDS families, faculty, and staff volunteered or donated items to help make the event a success! There were over 300 refugees in attendance, including over 200 children who received backpacks, haircuts, and other items to help them get ready for the upcoming school year.

Congratulations to Sophie Johnson and Erin Kempen for being selected as recipients of the Sherry Ward Innovation Award! Named for a retired ACDS Technology Director, the award is given to a faculty member who has demonstrated a growth mindset by taking risks to innovate in the classroom for the benefit of ACDS students.

Field Day Fun! Go, Bobcats!

Kindergarten held their annual Save the World Convention this morning. Students wrote and shared persuasive pieces on a pressing issue and encouraged attendees to sign a petition.

Bravo to our fourth graders on a fantastic play! There is another performance at 4:15 today!

5th graders, who are preparing for their first Speeches & Sweets, received feedback and support from our 8th graders yesterday.

Sixth graders put the SeaPerch Underwater ROVs they built to the test at Chinquapin pool today!

The ACDS Class of 2020 is graduating from high school! Congratulations to these amazing young adults! We loved getting to see you this evening!

Extra Fun Friday!! Thank you, APF!

Aidan, 8th grade, is heading to Philly next month to represent ACDS at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals! This meet brings together the best middle and high school track & field athletes from across the country to compete at Philadelphia’s famous Franklin Field for a chance at a national title. Aidan qualified to compete in the middle school boys 100M and will closeout his final middle school outdoor season representing ACDS on a national level. Go Aidan!
