Some of the moments from the Wa Machua Charity Golf Tournament held at Limuru Country Club on 4th Dec.
Nuru Center and Nuru Kwa Watoto would like to thank everyone who helped make this day a success. Thank you to the Wa Machua family for honoring your father and choosing Nuru to be the beneficiary. Thank you to all the people who donated and those who played. Without your generosity the event would not have been a success. Thank you to LCC for hosting us. We are already looking forward to coming back next year. This list is by no means complete and any omission is not intended. Kindly accept our heartfelt gratitude.
Nuru has impacted lives of needy children by giving them a chance ro attend high schools of their choice after passing their KCPE exams up to University level. Nuru has been doing this for over a decade now. Up to now there are more than 30 beneficiaries from this great organisation. Right now there are still students in highschool level who need assistance. This tournament is there to explicitly ask you to support us as Nuru. No amount is too big or too small. Thats our humble request. Luke 6:38 it says Give and it shall be given unto you. A good measure, pressed down shaken together and running over. It shall be cast into your laps.
Just go and do it now, tomorrow is never assured
Sure...help us enlighten children's future by being part of this great organization. You can send your donation via the website www.nurucenter.org/donate online or m-pesa pay bill no:674661
She's Hannah Wanjira 3rd year student at the Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology (RVIST) taking course supplies chain management/ procurement. Being a former pupil at St Mary's mixed primary school, Nuru chipped in after she did well in her KCPE exams and saw her through highschool education at Larmudiac high school.Hannah managed to score a C-(minus) grade and here she is. She's grateful for what Nuru has done in transforming her life. Nuru still has other students in highschool , six candidates and some others in other forms all studying in various schools in Kenya. You can be part of us in changing this children's lives and many others to come. If you feel touched by the stories in this page, we request for you to help us with your little donation which we believe it will help our children. You can send your donation via the website www.nurucenter.org/donate online. Give and it'll be given back to you in good measure pressed and overflowing,it'll cast into your lap. God bless Nuru God bless y'all
How can one be a success but not of value🤔,or being of value without being successful? Please share you thoughts...
"Education is the most powerful weapon that can be used to change the world". Nelson Mandela
He is Hezron Mugeci. He also hails from a needy family and upon finishing his primary education at St. Mary's mixed price sch. and scored a total of 352/500 marks he was unable to join highschool school. Thanks to Nuru which just came in to give a hand at this that time when Hezron didn't know what next. Nuru saw him thro' his high school education at Njoro Boys High school by providing all the necessities to keep him comfortable in school. He produced very impecable results (MG:B-) and he is now a third year student at the Technical University of Mombasa taking a bachelor's degree in statistics and computer. Viva Nuru. It's my hope that you've witnessed the great work that Nuru center has been doing and my prayer that it will still continue enlightening the paths of these young people through education. However we can't do it alone; we still need a helping hand from you to make it more successful. You can reach us via the website www.nurucenter.org/donate online.God bless Nuru.
Another great work done by Nuru center, She's Maureen Kavindu a final year student at the South Eastern Kenya University taking a bachelor's in Education (Kiswahili/CRE ).She joined campus after attaining a mean grade of B-(minus). Nuru played a big role in ensuring she had what she needed in high school leading to her success. She really appreciates the hand of Nuru that held her when she had lost hope in her education.
Here comes Jecinta Wairimu also being a beneficiary of Nuru. Jecinta passed her KCPE exams very well and her situation being similar to that of the latter two, Nuru chipped in as well. She was taken to Mary Mount Sec School where she passed very well. She now is a student at Karatina University pursuing a degree in Statistics and Computer science. You can also be part of this by visiting our website www.nurucenter.org/donate online.God bless Nuru God bless ya'll
She's Maureen Wairimu an entrepreneur, risk taker and a feminist. Also one of the beneficiaries of the great Nuru organization center. Her story being not different from the others Nuru once again came in and see her thro' her high school and University education. She went to Mary Mount Secondary School in Molo, passed very well and joined Moi University. Maureen graduated last year and now hustling to make her dreams come true. Maureen is very greatful to what Nuru did to her.You can also make an impact in a childs life to help Nuru continue to do what it's doing. Susan's story.
2011 Nuru Center Elimu Scholarship Nuru Center Elimu scholarship provides full scholarships to children in rural Kenya. Without these scholarships, these children would have to drop out of sch...
She is Susan(on the left), also one of the beneficiaries of Nuru elimu scholarship. She's a one of the pioneers to be precise. Susan also has a story to tell about her past life until when Nuru came in her life. After passing KCPE she was taken to Larmudiac high school in Njoro by Nuru, finished form four having scored a B+(plus). Consequently, she was called to join Chuka University where she studied a Bachelor degree in education (Biology &Chemist). Susan graduated some years back and she's now able to manage herself and family as well. All this is courtesy of you people. As nuru family we really appreciate your efforts . BLESS NURU GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
He goes by the name Moses Ouma. Being one of the beneficiaries of Nuru elimu scholarship. When he sat for his KCPE exams back in 2014 ,Moses passed very well but could not afford to join high school as a result of the the background he was coming from;a needy one. His mum being single mother, could not be able to pay for his school fees, shopping plus catering for thw needs of his little siblings. This is where Nuru chipped in and held his hand and took him to a boarding school in Njoro called Larmudiac high school. Nuru thro' other donors made it possible for him to get education as well as shopping fully packed to take him for a whole term.Moses cleared his highschool education in the year 2018 and passed very well. He's currently a student at the Technical University of Mombasa pursuing a his dream carrier; engineering.(automotive engineering) "I'm very greatful for what Nuru has done for me among many others," he says. BLESS NURU,GOD BLESS Y'ALL

Christmas is Kikapu season. We have to look out for our neighbors and help when we can. These are the benefactors of our Kikapu event this year. We look forward to increasing our reach next year.
In addition we are preparing for our school drive when we send our students back to school. We would like to add to our students this upcoming year and look forward to adding more sponsors to our family and community in 2019.
We could not have pulled this off without our volunteers. Buying the food, making sure it was packed in the right amounts and being there to distribute is just some of the work that our volunteers do during this food drive.
Our volunteers include our students: these are students who are sponsored through Nuru Center. We are very grateful to these students, our mentors and our donors. We are able to do this work because of these individuals and many others.
To everyone, we give our thanks. Thank you for buying into our multifaceted vision.
