The MVSU Atlanta Metro Alumni Chapter is so excited to be hosting our 10th
Anniversary Celebration of The Valley Scholarship Golf Classic.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Crystal Lake Golf and Country Club in Hampton, GA.

This year, our theme is "Golfing for MVSU Scholars"!!

We are in need of 6 more volunteers to help with many moving parts, like games, registration, transporting signs, providing water to players, etc.

Never been to our tournament before? No worries, we will make sure your know exactly what to do.

$10,000 that we have raised each year.

We are inviting all male and female golfers to come out and play in our tournament.

Get your team together and prepare to have a lot of fun at this well groomed golf course. Don't have a team? No worries, we will find a team for you. You do not want miss out on the chance to win $10,000 in cash and prices at our Hole In One contest.

We are expecting to have representatives from the office of the President of MVSU.

Our National Alumni president, Jerry Redmond, is also expected to

“Golfing for MVSU Scholars”


The Mississippi Valley State University Atlanta Metro Alumni Chapter is hosting our 10th Anniversary of “The Valley” Scholarship Golf Classic on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Crystal Lake Golf and Country Club, in Hampton, Georgia.

Over the past 9 years, this annual event has contributed over $90,000 in scholarships to deserving students.

As you may know, the Mississippi Delta is one of the nation’s poorest regions, yet MVSU has continued to produce high quality leaders who work across our nation to make communities better. Your support of this event is impactful and meaningful to our students and the surrounding communities.

Very proud of our very own MVSU Choir!! 👏🏾👏🏾 What amazing voices from all 3 choirs yesterday- MVSU, Grambling State, and Virginia State. In addition, we all were blessed to be in the same room with Roland Carter (composer) who arranged a few of the songs that were performed.
I’m thankful that I was able to meet our talented students on Friday, and show support this weekend. It blessed my soul to see everyone enjoying themselves while representing our Alma mater. 💚🤍
