On Tuesday evening, December 5th, Fran Schefer (pictured left) of the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation accepted a generous donation from the Dalton GA Lions Club President, Mark Talley on behalf of his organization.
This was part of an annual Christmas party hosted by the local Dalton Lions as they were making donations to a number of local charities who serve the greater community of Dalton. 🎄🎁❤️

Fran recognized the great work being done by local Lions to screen school children in Whitfield County and talked about our Tele-optometry partnership with the DEO Clinic in Dalton that is providing eye exams and glasses to local low income uninsured residents.

All donation made by December 31st will be matched💫

During recent months, there have been an increasing number of phone, text, social media and email scams. Be aware of scams that fraudulently use the Lions Clubs International or Lions Clubs International Foundation name or logo. The goal of these types of scams is to trick people into revealing personal and financial information about themselves, which can then be used to commit identity theft. The correct LCIF page can be identified by the blue verified checkmark by our name. Learn more about how to protect yourself. https://bit.ly/2XHx3yN

In Loving Memory of former U.S. First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Carter family. First Lady Rosalynn Carter was not just a leader; she was a beacon of compassion and strength, leaving an indelible mark on hearts across the globe. Her legacy of service, alongside President Jimmy Carter, echoes the Lions International spirit of building alliances for the pursuit of human dignity. Together, they transformed the world, inspiring millions with their unwavering commitment to positive change.

At Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), we stand proud as partners in service, collaborating with The Carter Center to strengthen eye care systems in underserved communities. As we continue the journey toward a world where compassion reigns, the legacy of Rosalynn Carter will shine brightly.
