200 candy pouches later… 🍭🍫🍬

The Leos proved last night that tackling the busy month of November won’t be a problem. Another great turnout meant that we were quickly able to hit our goal of making 200 candy pouches to be given to veterans. On top of that, we had groups making Thanksgiving cards for the senior center, and got started on making some of our blankets that will be donated in December. Overall a super successful night!

If you didn’t already join the google classroom, make sure to do that using the code VZiZ72V
we also have some events such as the Lions Craft Fair this Saturday at Good News Bible church, and the Hill-Roberts Holiday Store on December 1st and 2nd. These are great opportunities for service hours. We also have another meeting next Monday, where we will be going through our food drive donations. Don’t hesitate to bring in your own donations to this meeting!! Looking for non perishable food items!!

Multiple events are happening this month; the St.Theresa Christmas Bazaar will be held November 10th and 11th- volunteers should already be signed up.
Sundaes with Santa event will be held November 12th at the Elks- Leo’s will help serve ice cream to kids as part of a fundraiser
November 18th is the Lions Club Craft Fair
We will hold a meeting on November 13th where more information on some of these events can be found.
November also means it’s time for our annual Thanksgiving food drive! We are collecting non perishable food items until the 17th- bags can be found in each x-block classroom for donations.

At our meeting this past Monday our Leo’s made some amazing signs for our candy take back, along with creating some festive centerpieces for the upcoming thanksgiving luncheon!

We have a couple things going on in the coming future that members should keep in mind:

-If interested in volunteering at the christmas bazaar, please hand the permission slips into Kylie Vierra or room 326 by the 23rd

-The Candy Take Back will take place on November 1st- sign ups for times slots were available at the meeting and if you signed up remember to be there

-Our annual food drive will start November 1st, so start getting the word out and collecting donations

Thanks to all those who helped out on Monday, and we’ll see you at our next meeting on the 30th.
