The ARC of Bristol County hosted the Attleboro Rotary club today and honored our recent donation with a plaque in their Park Street location. We learned more about the incredible work they do in our community. Thank you ARC for your dedication to serving others and for a special celebration today.
Attleboro Rotary and its Charities Foundation provided a total of $12,000 to four local organizations today: Attleboro Area Interfaith Collaborative, Hebron Food Pantry, Murray Unitarian Universalist Church, St Joseph’s Food Cellar. We were honored to have them present at our meeting today.

Kelly Fox spoke to the club about the Attleboro Council for Children and Christmas is for Kids. The Attleboro Rotary participates each year and this year got a jump start by providing the organization with blankets with the onset of the colder weather.

Joe Andruzzi spoke to the club today about his diagnosis of non-Hodgkins Burkitts lymphoma in 2007 and the founding of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation in 2008. The foundation has provided over $10M to 40,000 cancer patients across New England. He shared stories of his career in the NFL along with powerful stories of cancer patients. Great turn out at the Empty Bowls event in Attleboro today. Lots of soup served and funds raised for the area soup kitchens. Rotary members volunteered to serve and set up /break down. YMCA members were also present and all the soup was donated by Morin’s.
