We will work to make this a fun 🥳and exciting experience as well as providing significant skills and meaning to your first year at UT. ★What are you looking forward to with your involvement in UT FLO?
“I can’t wait to meet all the first-years and have another family on campus. It’ll be fun to get to know everyone and watch them grow into the leaders we know they can be!”
★What has been your favorite memory so far on campus?
“My favorite memory on campus would have to be going to the tailgates and football games! You get to hang out with all of your friends and meet a lot of new people. If you’re lucky, you may even get to see Matthew McConnaughey on the field!”
Meet our membership officer, Aashay Patel. He is a sophomore electrical computer engineering student!!
★What are you looking forward to with your involvement in UT FLO?
“I am looking forward to meet and mentor the future first year students!”
★What has been your favorite memory so far on campus?
“My favorite memory on campus (although not on campus but part of UT) has been studying abroad and meeting such a cool diverse group of engineers.”
Meet our development officer, Dan Meishar!! He is a sophomore Finance student with a minor in MIS.
★What are you looking forward to with your involvement in UT FLO?
“In FLO I am looking forward to interacting with first year students to help with their professional and academic development. I am excited to mentor these students and give them a warm welcome to our awesome campus.”
★What has been your favorite memory so far on campus?
“My favorite memory on campus has been meeting some of my closest friends through various organizations such as Delta Sigma Pi. Having a close friend group always gave me something to look forward to every week.”
Meet our communications officer, Sarah Cowan!! She’s a sophomore majoring in Canfield Business Honors and Plan Il.
★What are you looking forward to with your involvement in UT FLO?
“I’m most looking forward to getting to know our future members and helping them grow.”
★What has been your favorite memory so far on campus?
“My favorite memory on campus so far was at my first football game freshman year my friends and I were randomly handed passes to watch the game from the field.”
Meet FLO’s other co-director, Sam LeBus! He is a sophomore Mechanical Engineering student.
★What are you looking forward to with your involvement in UT FLO?
“I’m super excited to meet and spend time with all of the first-years!”
★What has been your favorite memory so far on campus?
“I’ve enjoyed all the leadership opportunities there are on campus! Last semester, I helped host a Spring Barbecue with the Engineering School on campus for UT students to enjoy some food and socialize with each other. I’m really excited for this year because FLO will give provide you with the leadership skills you need to take advantage of opportunities like these!”
Meet one of our co-directors, Kaitlyn Wessels!! She is a sophomore double majoring in Communication and Leadership as well as PR.
★What are you looking forward to with your involvement in UT FLO?
“I am looking forward to getting to know all of our first-year members and making an impact on their lives! I am also super excited to experience new things and grow from the process!”
★What has been your favorite memory so far on campus?
“I loved meeting new people and trying new things during my Freshman year! Last year, I did everything from going to campus lectures to goat yoga, so I have a lot of great memories! UT and Austin have so much to offer, I really recommend that you take advantage of it!”
