Our fourth panelist is Amie Jean, a senior finance major in the Texas McCombs School of Business and African and African Diaspora Studies minor, as well as Student Government vice president. All seven of their executive alliance platforms speak to the experiences in and outside the classroom. The platforms include mental health, student empowerment, inclusion, and safety.

Jean’s interests lie in finance, Black Studies, and disability advocacy. Amie has been involved in different pockets of campus. She was a tour guide and actively involved in the Division of diversity and community engagement. She received the highest community leadership award this past spring; The Heman Sweatt Legacy Award. Amie is in Texas Orange Jackets, and also a recipient of the Texas parents Mike Award and a donation which secured for the Ready Set Go Horn raiser no helper right now - 2 adaptive racing chairs on campus! this past summer she traveled through % different countries, consistently reminding yourself that disability is floor and not the silly. She is aware of what she cannot do but there is no telling what she can do.
We can’t wait for you to get to know more about her leadership path and skills. We’ll open up the floor to questions from L.I.T’s, so make sure to have yours ready for tomorrow!
Don’t forget to follow us!

Our third panelist is Camron Goodman, who is a senior finance major from Dallas, Texas. As a transfer student and first-generation student Longhorn, he found his first semester to be a tough transition; one in which he struggled both academically and socially. Realizing he wasn’t alone in the feeling; Camron joined the Transfer Student Agency. And after becoming the director, he worked with Student Government to create a position to represent all transfer students — the Transfer Student Representative. He also served as one of the University Wide Representatives where he worked to create representation and resources for underrepresented students. In this position, he worked with others to create SG Connect – a system used to help students further their own initiatives. When he is not in the Student Government office, you can find him showing campus to prospective students as a tour guide or connecting with the UT community through his involvement in the Tejas club. Currently, Camron is the Student Body President where his goal is to empower students and make a way for them to create the change they want to see on campus.
We can’t wait for you to get to know more about his leadership path and skills. We’ll open up the floor to questions from L.I.T’s, so make sure to have yours ready for Thursday!

Our 2nd panelist is Landon Hackley, a 4th year biomedical engineering student at UT. He currently has serves several roles including: Program Coordinator for the Health Leadership Apprentice Program at Dell Medical School, undergraduate researcher in Dr. Hyun Jung Kim's Biomimetic Engineering Lab in the Biomedical Engineering Department, undergraduate researcher in Dr. Kimberly Brown's Surgical Oncology Lab at Dell Medical School, and CEO of Communities Raising Awareness of Student Homelessness - a non-profit he started back in high school along with 2 friends. His past roles include serving as Director and then Vice President of Philanthropy for the Texas Interfraternity Council, Social Chairman for Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, and Safety Director and Longhorn Legislative Aid for Student Government. He is also a member of the Texas Cowboys. In fall of 2018 he lead a team of 5 to win 1st Place at Johns Hopkins Medhacks competition, a medical-focused hack-a-thon of over 200 students from across the United States. He is a published author of several academic papers, including co-authoring a chapter of an up-and-coming Biomimetic Microengineering textbook that will be published in the coming months, and he has broken fundraising records in past roles by raising over $120,000 for pediatric cancer research in a span of several months. He plans to attend medical school after college to become a surgeon like the one that saved his father's life many years ago.
We can’t wait for you to get to know more about his leadership path and skills. We’ll open up the floor to questions from L.I.T’s, so make sure to have yours ready for Thursday!

Hey there L.I.T’s, we’d like to introduce the amazing speakers we’re having at the Mission Impossible: Learning to Lead “How to Lead Without a Title” panel.
Our first panelist is Kate Dunn, a third-year senior in the McCombs School of Business. This being only her third year, and last, she has packed a great deal into a short period of time. Upon entering McCombs in the Fall of 2017, she was immediately drawn to the McCombs Diversity Council and dedicated herself to obtaining a leadership role as quickly as possible. After proving herself worthy of such a role, she was elected to the Executive Board as the Corporate Relations Vice
President, and this year she is serving as the President of the McCombs Diversity Council. McCombs Diversity Council hosts a roundtable recruitment dinner twice a year, and this event serves as a great opportunity for meeting industry professionals and networking. McCombs Diversity Council also hosts weekly meetings with company representatives to discuss diversity
and inclusion, employment opportunities, life after college, and ending discrimination in the
workplace. Capitalizing on all of these exposures has led to Kate being in the driver’s seat regarding her employment post-graduation.
Academically, Kate was inducted into the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society in the Spring of 2018, and will graduate in May of 2020 with University Honors.
Kate is a native to Fort Worth, and cannot wait to see where she will land next!
We can’t wait for you to get to know more about her leadership path and skills. We’ll open up the floor to questions from L.I.T’s so make sure to have yours ready for Thursday!
