Meet Maeve, B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia fighter. 🎗

Maeve and her family have been away to Believe In Tomorrow's House at Pinnacle Falls a handful of times throughout her treatment. The proximity of this house allows them to return to their home hospital if needed, yet it's just far enough away to provide a much-needed escape from the reality they face at home: cancer.

Adventure called and Liam's family answered! 💯 Everyone had an amazing time exploring, discovering treasures, and enjoying outdoor fun during their stay at The House at Deep Creek. These new experiences are what make Believe In Tomorrow respite trips so special! 🍃

Amanda and Mary, who work full-time in our Ocean City office, dedicate their efforts to ensuring that each family's beach respite stay is filled with memorable experiences. Amanda, our Program Advancement Associate, brings her expertise to planning and executing all Eastern Shore events and fundraisers, identifying new fundraising opportunities, exploring grants, and managing donor relations to help our programs grow. 🪸🐚 Mary, our Program Manager, tailors each family's stay to their specific needs, whether it's rest and relaxation or a schedule full of activities. She also oversees maintenance at our beach houses, manages volunteers, and strengthens our ties within the local community. ☀️🌴

Katie, our Director of Respite Housing, oversees the entire respite program, coordinating with families from the application process through scheduling their beach or mountain stay. From collaborating with hospitals and social workers nationwide to developing relationships with local businesses at our mountain locations, Katie ensures every detail is handled so families can focus on what truly matters. 🍁❄

Reflecting on their experience, Carter's mom added, "For us, Believe In Tomorrow means JOY in the midst of illness."

We would run into people on our daily walks and I was just amazed at how nice they were!" 👋 Maddox, his older brother Gavin, mom and dad spent a week at The Children's House at Pinnacle Falls in North Carolina, and were blown away by the kindness that welcomed them.

After spending their mornings eating breakfast outside in camping chairs and watching the deer eat from the apple tree, they didn't want to leave! 🍎🦌 "It was so nice not having service because it allowed us to bond, which is something we didn't know we needed. We've had a few rough patches but this trip taught us a lot. It was a lovely time." 🌼

Eve and Ella took their first respite trip to The House By The Sea in March of 2024, and just took their second trip to Fenwick Island in August! "It means so much to just be together as a family, since we have been separated a lot throughout treatments and care," the girls' mom shared. 😎🌊 "The smiles on the girls' faces during their trips were absolutely priceless."
