LSU Rowing Parents Association
Founded in 2017, the LSU Rowing Parents Association consists of members who have family member athletes currently on LSU Rowing.
The purpose is to communicate travel plans, coordinate meals for the team and be a supporting fan base during regattas. Any statements and opinions included in these pages are not those of LSU or the LSU Board of Supervisors.
Hi to all parents!
We are excited to help get all of you involved and updated on what we have been up to. Recently we have been preparing for our first regatta which is coming up in just a few weeks. We have been putting in a lot of hard work including spending time on the water with our coach,
Matt Craft, improving technique, pulling ergs (the rowing machine), running 4 miles, and much more. If you want to plan to come to future regattas, see the schedule posted below.
The first race of the season is just two weeks away! Music
City Head Race will be held in Nashville, TN on the Cumberland River Saturday October 12th.
This event is hosted by Vanderbilt University and Nashville Rowing Club.
The team will be traveling in a provided charter bus, leaving dark and early on Friday, October 11th. Two support cars and the trailer will be leaving the day before to assist carefully getting boats to the course.
To find out more information about the race including location, parking, and more please visit

**If you are interested in assisting the team with
snacks, lunch, drinks, etc. Please email or DM us. We would love to see you all there, but we understand Tennessee is quite the drive!**
We also have sent out the first parent email. If you did not receive the email, or would like to be added to the list, please DM us or email us at [email protected]
