Another incredible StoryTime in the Garden ๐ is in the books! The children had a blast with arts and crafts, snacks, and stories at LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens. A huge thanks to all who attended and made this event possible, and our JLBR helpers for making spirits shine in their fabulous festive crowns!

What do you love most about JLBR? I loved the community of women that I was able to meet and make friends with outside of the professional setting. I found a group of people who were there to encourage and cheer me on through a tough season and had it not been for the League, I don't know that our paths would have crossed.
Favorite Quote: I have many! but one is from the book Greenlights - "Life is our resume. It is our story to tell. The choices we make, write the chapters."

Special Spotlight on JLBR Member, Kimberly Davis, who recently ran in the NYC Marathon! ๐๐
Kimberly on this recent achievement: "This was my first time running the New York Marathon and my second of the six Abbott World Marathon Majors. (The others are Boston, Chicago, Berlin, London, and Tokyo - I did Chicago in 2013 and 2017.) The race course goes through all five boroughs of NYC, and the sights, sounds, and crowd support were unbelievable! I ran with a charity team close to my heart (RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association). My husband and I had a long journey through infertility and welcomed a daughter in May, and the whole family made the trip to NYC! It was a grand adventure of planes, trains, and pasta. We stuck around a few days after the race and were able to visit Central Park as well as the 9/11 Memorial and Museum."
Congratulations on all of your hard work!

Proceeds from our Hollydays event benefit the Greater Baton Rouge community through the work of the Junior League of Baton Rouge. Last year, Junior League of Baton Rouge packaged and distributed more than 550,000 diapers for 23 partners across the Capital Region to ensure that families have diapers for their children. Diaper needs are urgent in our community and we are proud to say that we have helped spread awareness to . Diaper drives (where we collect diapers), financial contributions, shopping through our amazon wishlist, and raising awareness via our social community has allowed us to continue impacting the community in a positive way.
