MEAD is a program created to Motivate Excellence in Academics and Divinity in youth scholars attending at-risk schools to continue their success in college. A deserving student is selected to be the recipient of a BRAND NEW car for college at their high school graduation. Tarolyn Otis was our fourth; Rondreka Pitts was our third; Chasity Strowder was our second and Jabril Mohummad was our first recipient!

Congratulations to Rondreka Pitts, the 2010 M.E.A.D. Recipient from Istrouma High School. Rondreka maintained a 4.1 gpa even though she had many encounters as a young woman. She will be attending Nicholls State University in the fall with a major in Mathematics.
Well M.E.A.D. fans today is the big day for Istrouma High Schools Commencement. Just think within less than 24 hours someone's child is going to receive a brand new car to help further their education. Spread the word... this is something positive for our youth.
Excitement, excitement, excitement!!! The M.E.A.D. applications have been picked up from Istrouma High School. And the winner will be announced on May 20, 2010 at their commencement. We are so excited for the students at Istrouma and we congratulate every graduate.
