"Strength, Confidence, Inclusion" - Three words we use frequently. They are the core values that the McLindon Family Foundation was built on and what continues to drive us today. Each child that goes through our program gains more STRENGTH in their muscles, CONFIDENCE in their self, and INCLUSION amongst their community - now having a bike of their own to join in outdoor activities.

Meet Brooke from Baton Rouge, LA!

Happy 31st Birthday Brooke! She was born with Cerebral Palsy and is a writer with many accomplishments so it's only fitting that she contributed to this post...

"I want to thank you and the McLindon family again for helping me get this awesome bike. I am excited to use it this summer. I was born with cerebral palsy. I communicate with speaking devices. I have a cool wheelchair that allows me to stand up whenever I want. I live in Denham Springs with my husband Brandon. I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor's degree in English and minor in history. I was Miss Wheelchair Louisiana 2015 and I won 4th in Miss Wheelchair USA. I was also ambassador for Very Special Miss Louisiana pageant in 2017. I am a writer for 225 magazine and a social media manager for a pottery art studio called Brushfire Art Studio. I'm also writing a graphic novel. I love traveling and trying new things. My biggest goal in life is helping young disabled individuals learn that nothing is truly impossible in life."

Wow, right?! We are so excited to receive updates from Brooke and we'll be on the lookout for her novel!
