Field day fun!

Today we had a special visitor! Dr. Shaheen (local optometrist & Plain Local alumni) brought the Real Eyes program to Middlebranch and taught us how important is it to take care of our eyes. 👀 Thank you Dr. Shaheen!

We were treated to some yummy ice cream from Country Cones, courtesy of our amazing PTO. Thank you for the yummy treat!

Today we made cards to celebrate our school secretaries and all the amazing things they do everyday to keep Middlebranch running smoothly!

Mrs. Smith’s second grader, Kennedy, has been spreading kindness by taking the initiative to write “kindness notes” and deliver them throughout the school. We love Kennedy’s great heart and leadership! Thank you for making our day brighter, Kennedy! 💚🤩💛🦅

Our field trip to the McKinley Museum last week. We had so much fun exploring in Discovery World, the Planetarium, learning about President McKinley and venturing through the history of Stark County.

We had so much fun celebrating our love of reading this week. Thank you to the parents that joined us (in person & virtually) to be surprise mystery readers. The kids LOVED it!!!

We’re celebrating our love of reading this week! We kicked it off with Cat in the Hat & Thing One reading a favorite Dr. Seuss book, Diffendoofer Day. Then we had a surprise mystery reader, Jacob’s dad, bring in a couple of his favorite books to share with the class. There were so many “things” running around today! We LOVE books! ❤️📖

Happy Leap day! We learned a lot about grasshoppers today. Also, we did the Leap ‘Lympics which were so much fun! We competed in the long jump, a relay race, a jump rope contest and raced our origami frogs. Our class beat Mr. Sullivan’s class in the long jump and the relay race! 🏆🌟

Valentine’s party fun! 💗 Thank you to the PTO and volunteers for such a fun day! 💘

Mackenzie shared a special celebration with our class today. We learned about Chinese New Year. She brought in a few books, red envelopes and fortune cookies to share. Everyone enjoyed it!

They worked really hard today to get all their work done early, so we enjoyed some extra recess time. We couldn’t pass it up on this beautiful, sunny day! ☀️

We earned a reward for filling our ticket jar & the kids chose to have lunch in the classroom. They thought it was so neat!
