After two years of hosting Reading Room, our Black feminist study group continues blossoming into a beautiful circle of curious folks deepening our relationship with Black feminist praxis the way it was intended, in community.

Last month, we sat with a carefully curated selection of Lorde’s journals from A Burst of Light and other essays. For March, we return to Toni Cade Bambara’s writing with a selection from her short story collection, “Gorilla, My Love”.

As always you’re invited to bring your favorite blanket, pillow or dreaming tool and join us on the floor as we dive into the text. Let us know you’re joining us via the 🔗 in our bio or at www.houseofthelorde.com/readingroom

Our January Reading Room was our largest yet. A bountiful circle of beings diving into Toni Cade Bambara’s The Education of a Storyteller, and sharing testimonies, questions, reflections, and declarations.

What we know about the Reading Room is that it continues to bring out the wisdom in the room through trust and careful listening.

We’ll return to our Black feminist study practice February 22.

Won’t you join us? Stay tuned for our selected text! Let us know you coming via www.houseofthelorde.com/thereadingroom (link in bio)
