Last month's Annual AAOS meeting reflected our ongoing commitment to impactful research by Adult Reconstruction at Rush.

Former Research Fellow, Freddy Yang, received the award for Best Paper in Adult Knee Reconstruction for our RCT on the effect of Duloxetine on TKA outcomes, which he started with us here.

This RCT was a collaborative effort, and one of our many projects dedicated to improving patient care.

I’ll continue to support our female leaders in orthopedics as I did during my presidency, work towards treatment of infected total joints and keep in mind, how far we’ve come in research. We highly recommend second opinions for all patients. Joint replacement surgery is a big decision, and they should feel comfortable with their surgical plan and trust in their surgeon. Humbled by another happy patient with their partial knee replacements.
