Plants are growing and ready for the Plant/Seed Exchange. We will plant our raised beds next week and everything left over will be given away next Saturday April 6th at our Plant/Seed Exchange. We have over 1200 plants in 16 varieties of tomatoes and 10 pepper varieties along with some squash and cucumbers. We also have a box full of seeds. Come out and see us. Bring some seeds and/or plants to exchange or give away. We welcome all plants, house plants, vegetable plants, flower bulbs, herbs, whatever you have. Invite your friends and neighbors. As a bonus you can also tour our raised gardens and get planting advice from other gardeners.
AG LEARNING STATION!
Thanks to our wonderful sponsor/partner Shelby County Farmers Federation, we were able to give away two Ag Learning Stations!
Each station consists of a table-top bookshelf filled with 22 agriculture and conservation accurate books. These books cover a variety of topics including farming, gardening, pollinators, natural resource conservation and so much more!
We are thrilled that the Harpersville Library received one of stations and will have access to these amazing resources about where our FOOD, FUEL, & FIBER comes from!
Pictured is Kim Joiner - Shelby County Soil & Water Conservation District and Marsha Moore - The Harpersville Library.
The adorable kids are Kim's grandchildren Quinn and Arthur Joiner.
