I see it in my job all the time. Belief in their plan, belief in their ability to get there but paralyzed into action. I myself walked through this. You can talk and talk and talk about what you're going to do, but until you get off the proverbial porch and walk down the road none of the change you believe you have will manifest in your life.

Remember to be aware always. It's so easy to grow stagnant in our successes and become paralyzed in our failures. Rep it and be it!

Ministry is about changing the world by transforming the people within it, not by giving them some sort of emotional sedative.

We have too many ministries, church services, conferences, and special events that have become dealers of that emotional sedative. Many have become a custom to the addictive qualities of these emotional sedatives and not transformed by the gospel.

Do you walk the walk?

Restorative justice aims to restore and rehabilitate offenders and reconcile them with their victims and with the affected community. In contrast to restorative justice is retributive justice, which aims to punish wrongdoers according to what they deserve without the goal of restoration. In retributive justice, individuals reap what they sow. Both forms of justice are present in Scripture, though the theme of restorative justice is more prominent.

January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month . Every year since 2010, the President has dedicated the month to raise awareness about human trafficking and to educate the public about how to identify and prevent this crime.

How did the story of a man who taught and practiced unconditional love, peace, and kindness; who spent his life defending the poor and the marginalized; a man who even forgave his killers while they executed him unjustly — whose life inspired a radical movement that is still impacting the world thousands of years later — how did this man’s story become associated with hatred and oppression for so many people? And how might we all rediscover the promise of the love his story represents? Those are the questions y'all should be asking this year! Be the change, make a difference and just love each other.
