Today, we are highlighting another brand new staff member, Kya Coe! Studying social work at Capital University, Kya came upon the program through camp’s collaboration with Capital as a way to get involved in a new community and grow into her career field at the same time! Kya brings a dedicated and bright energy to camp, and we can’t wait to see her again in just a few short days!! Here’s to many more

Today, we’re highlighting Evan Basye! Starting on staff as a CIT last year, Evan was part of our amazing day camp staff and will be joining us for overnight camp this summer! He brings an amazing energy to every camp day, and we can’t wait to see him back this year. Here’s to many more!
Today, we are spotlight Gee Linard! As a non diabetic, Gee fell in love with camp their first year on staff in 2021. Also being someone who lives with a disability, they find camp to be a second home for them where they can provide community for others like them. Gee does a great job at camp, and we can’t wait to see them back at it again this year. Here’s to many more!

Today, we are highlighting another program staff member, Rachel Ellis! Rachel has been a long time part of camp, and her experience shows through her dedication to camp. Seen in many roles through her time at Hamwi, Rachel has seen all sides of camp and has contributed greatly to each other their successes! Jake, a non-diabetic, fell in love with camp after coming to be a staff member, and hasn’t stopped coming since! He has had a great impact program throughout his years with us! Here’s to many more
