Our staff is looking forward to welcoming families with young children as we are expanding our age groups to infants by late fall 2024.

Another Day Camp in the books! Enjoy this awesome Day Camp Photo Dump.
We experienced so many cool areas and activities this Summer:
- Explored the new Blacklick Park Canopy Walk
- Learned what makes boats float and made our own and tested them at Alum Creek 🚣
- Explored the nature center at Darby Creek
- & so much more! 🤩

Special thanks to Franklinton Farms for guiding us through how to make tart pesto, pick sweet berries, and turn berries into crispy homemade poptarts!

A special thank you to ADAMH Board of Franklin County for making field trips possible for our day camp program!

This year campers visited Shady Lane Alpaca Farm and we also got to explore the underground trails of Ohio Caverns!
At the farm we hand-fed alpacas, played yard games, and hung out with all the animals living on the farm. We got to take home a wooden ball stuffed with alpaca hair for birds to use as nesting material at the end of the day. Thank you Shady Lane for having us.

At Ohio Caverns we saw many different crystals and colors in the caverns! We learned it's important not to touch the rock formations we find in the caves in order to keep them preserved. We don't want the oils from our hands to take away the beauty for those who come after us.

WOW!! 248 years of Freedom! Independence day celebrates our country's freedom and the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence.
Do you have a “freedom story”? Freedom from drugs/alcohol, freedom from being incarcerated, freedom from an unhealthy relationship or freedom from sin? We asked some of our ladies what freedom means to them and we’d like to share:

❤️“Freedom looks beautiful. It’s just beautiful. My daughter is in a program and she’s safe, my mind is clear, my grandson is healthy and I’m just happy. I’m very grateful for everything in my life and I'm able to be free to experience all these things in my life.”

🤍“Freedom has given me a sense of feeling happy and at ease with my life and things going on in my life.”

💙“Being able to be a part of my son's life again, making him laugh and hearing him laugh.”

Paul explains the freedom in Christ well in Galatians 5:13 “For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.”

Our community learning center is excited to announce their summer program for middle school and high school youth ➡️ Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays starting June 18th - August 15th! (Closed for July 4th)

It's graduation season! From 8th grade graduation on up; we have them all and are so proud of the accomplishments our community members have made!
Residents in our housing programs have been conquering fears and doubts right and left! We have hit a record these past 2 years! There have been more Lower Lights housing participants and community members continuing their education and graduating with their GED’s and licensed certificate programs for careers in Cosmetology and Social Services than ever before.

Congratulations to all!

We are in our final phases of preparation for day camp; searching for one more 18 + male counselor to round out the team. If you or someone you may know is interested please contact Aubrey.

Our participants have the option to take part in regular Franklinton Farms visits, where they meet with Morgan Jack who is the farms Education Team Coordinator and Therapeutic Garden Educator since 2022. At the farms our ladies take part in group effort preparation and eventually consumption of a meal made with farm ingredients. This among other activities have great impact, one participant said it best: “I love that I feel seen and heard at the farms, I feel like they truly care about me"

Summer is right around the corner and the kids will be out of school soon. If you are in the Hilltop/Franklinton area looking for an affordable and reliable day camp option, look no further!
