It's Sunday funday at the adoption center with Savannah!

Savannah (F, 3.5 months) is a girl who has overcome a lot! As a small kitten she struggled with eye infections that have left some scarring, but you would never know it! She can see well enough now that she is not handicapped in any way. Savannah loves to play, especially with her mouse toys. She is gentle and loves belly rubs!

To adopt Savannah, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html.

Today we feature two of our 'larger than life' cats, Jada and Gerald. These two are also volunteer favorites! 😻🐾

Jada (F, 9 yrs, brown tabby with white chest) is a bit shy, extremely sweet, affectionate, and loving. She may need help grooming because of her size. She is 17 lb and declawed. She loves to rub against legs for attention.

Gerald (M, 3 yrs, brown tabby) is a sweet and fun guy. He's learning to be an indoor cat and loves toys, wet food, and attention from people! He also likes a quiet spot to spend time by himself. He will happily be nearby while you read a book. He is 12 lbs. Gerald is currently at our partner location, Petco Easton Gateway.

During the Empty the Shelters event, Jada's adoption fee is reduced to $30 and Gerald's is reduced to $50, with an approved application.

To adopt Jada or Gerald, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html.

Meet the newest kittens at the adoption center, Dipper and Doppler!

Dipper (F, 3.5 mons) has dedicated her life to the study and perfection of lap warming. With a distinguished career in maximizing purrs per minute, she is a master of relaxation and comfort. Ready to provide therapeutic cuddles and warmth, she seeks a household in need of her specialized services.
Doppler (F, 3.5 mons) has traversed the treacherous terrains of the living room and the far reaches of the attic. With a penchant for discovering hidden treasures (mostly under couches), she is a kitten with a heart full of adventure. Now seeking a new territory to explore, she promises to bring excitement and curiosity to any household daring enough to adopt her.

A huge shout out to our adopters of 44 cats and dogs between July 8-16! Thanks to BISSELL Pet Foundation and Cathy Bissell, 19 cats were sent home with reduced adoption fees. Four of those cats had been with Colony Cats for over 6 months. Michaela was with us since May of 2022! We appreciate all adopters but especially those who give hard to adopt cats a chance at forever love (including Avril, a FeLV+ cat!).

Reduced adoption fees for cats over 7 months will continue through July 31, with an approved application. We recommend submitting an application for approval prior to visiting so you can take home your new best friend the day they chose you. You can submit an online application for pre-approval at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html. Applications are good for 90 days. Help us !

Happy “tail” time!
Avril came to Colony Cats in September 2023 when she was 2 months old. She tested positive for Feline Leukemia and has been thriving in a loving foster home for almost a year until Saturday when she was adopted by her new dad! Yes, there were happy tears from her foster and other volunteers for this match. Avril will enjoy snuggling up and watching TV with her dad. Thanks for giving this girl a chance and wonderful home!
Thank you BISSELL Pet Foundation and Cathy Bissell!

Hello bonded sisters, ♠️♣️!

Clubs and Spade are 9 months old and a bit shy. Spade has the black nose while Clubs has more white on her face. They are young and should really open up with lots of love and encouragement. When you meet them at the adoption center, give them a moment to warm up to you as they are still nervous.
These adoring sisters are bonded and must be adopted together. During the Empty the Shelters event, their adoption fee is reduced to $100 for both, with an approved application.

To adopt Spade and Clubs, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html.

Seeking an adopter (or foster) for Sass!

Sass (F, 3.5 yrs, 16lbs) has an unfortunate story. She was taken to the vet by her family and once told she had bladder stones, her family didn't want her. Colony Cats saved Sass and with a diet of prescription CD food, she is in good health with the bladder stones dissolved. Love heals (and prescription food!)! Sass will need a prescription food the rest of her life to keep her healthy, but isn't she worth it? We seek a loving adopter for Sass, or maybe even a foster home who will keep her on her diet (sponsored through Colony Cats). Sass has been with other cats, children and tolerates dogs. She is goofy and affectionate! Ask to meet her at the adoption center!
During the Empty the Shelters event, Sass' adoption fee is reduced to $50.

To adopt Sass, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html.

After 2 years of waiting, Capri is one of our longest residents. Poor Capri came to Colony Cats in 2017 as a kitten. She was adopted and returned a few years later when her owners said she was aggressive towards children. She was very upset and scared and had a hard time transitioning back to being in the shelter. Since then, she has taken up residence in our intake area with some of the other special needs cats. Her main special need is that she would prefer a home without dogs, children or other cats. We understand this means finding a home will be more challenging for her, but after 2 years of waiting we're really hoping it could be Capri's turn to find her forever family. She is well known to the volunteers as a sweet, funny lady. A lover of pets and curling up in a sunbeam, she is very curious, and intelligent. She would make a great companion for a quiet home where she could stretch out and take it easy. As an 8 year old lady she's reaching her mid-life and the first half hasn't been easy on her. We'd love to see her enter into her golden years with a caring family that wants to give her a chance at her own happy ending.
During the Empty the Shelters event, Capri's adoption fees is reduced to $30.

To meet or adopt Capri, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html.

Spaz (M, born March) - black, a goofball, and if you're looking for a fun, inquisitive, and "always gets in trouble but in a good way" cat then you'd probably really like me!
Toast (F, born March) - white with tabby markings, a very sweet, quiet girl. She is an adorable tabby and white bobtail. We haven’t heard her even make a “mew”! She loves to play, but most of all she loves a good lap to cuddle in. (in foster)
