One week away...the first Random Review of the season! Please join us for a review of this excellent book, "Brave the Wild River", presented by Barb Lachenbruch, Professor Emeritus of the Department of Forest Ecosystems and Society at OSU. This year there are two ways to enjoy Random Review: attend in person on Sept. 11 at noon in the main meeting room at the Corvallis Library, or livestream via Zoom. This season's final Random Review is coming up on June 12 at 12 PM! Susan Rodgers, Professor of Creative Writing & Literature at OSU will be reviewing Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. We hope you'll be there to celebrate another season of great reviews with us!
The public is invited to join the Friends of the Library for their annual meeting on June 17 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, in the main meeting room at the Corvallis Library. On tap will be summaries of activities from the past year, officer elections, and snacks! ๐๐๐ฅจIf you are going to park a car at the library during the meeting, please avoid parking in the below-ground parking structure, since the library will close at 7 pm.

A pack horse librarian delivering books in rural Kentucky in 1938. During the Great Depression, the Pack Horse Library Project was a Works Progress Administration (WPA) program in which the librarians, who were often called "book women" or "book ladies," delivered books to remote parts of Appalachia.
