It was an incredible morning of growth and learning at the Executive Training Seminar hosted by Festival of Children Foundation! 🌟 Led by internationally sought-after speaker Derrick Feldmann, non-profit staff from across the country gathered both in-person and online to delve into the art of crafting a compelling narrative for their organizations’ missions to drive impact and engagement. Grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow together!

The charities we serve play a vital role in the lives of young individuals facing various challenges. To be as effective as possible, Festival of Children Foundation strives to equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate and thrive within the dynamic charity landscape. 📣 Exciting Announcement! 📣 In one week, we will be debuting the new home of our Executive Training Seminars at the Harbor Gateway Conference Center in Costa Mesa, CA! This brand new venue will not only offer amenities to foster an enhanced learning and collaborative experience, but it will incorporate livestreaming technology – creating national reach for this program with likeminded changemakers. Marian's legacy of love, compassion, and commitment to helping others will forever inspire us. While she will be missed here, we are comforted that she has been reunited with her beloved husband Jasper. The holidays can be a very difficult time for those without permanent housing – especially for children. There are over 1.5 million homeless children in the United States, and a child’s chance of being homeless in their lifetime is 1 in 50. Festival of Children Foundation’s Sharing the Spirit Holiday Party provides a sense of normalcy for these children, and a chance to feel treasured and valued.

CHOC’s Possible Dreams is to raise funds for the Thompson Autism and Neurodevelopment Center. This multidisciplinary clinic is devoted to providing diagnostic evaluations, behavioral consultations, therapy and medical management for children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We had an amazing time gathering non-profit leaders from around the country to participate in a panel discussion about how funders approach grant-making, grantee relationships and their views on marketing and fundraising. This incredible panel was lead by Derrick Feldmann, Managing Partner at Influence|SG, Kelly Hackett, Managing Director – Head of Family Office Services Division at Tectonic Advisors, and Kathleen W. Buechel, Executive Director at the Benter Foundation.

This online presentation is part of Festival of Children Foundation’s Executive Training Seminar series that delivers knowledge-building and skills sets vital for non-profit leadership to continue adapting to an evolving fundraising landscape. Together, dreams are possible 🎠

On December 3rd, a group of voluntary fundraisers will go around and around 50 times on the South Coast Plaza carousel to help CHOC Glass Slipper Guild and CHOC Foundation raise funds for the Thompson Autism and Neurodevelopment Center at CHOC.
