Tattooing over a trauma site may activate subconscious memories of the original trauma and cause the mind to relive the experience. If it does, then the body will likely go into a stress response that the person does not understand.

The unhealed tattooist May ignore these signs and accidentally leave the client in that activated energy.

This is one of the ways that we can cause harm to our trusting clients.

In order to understand this, you must first experience it in your life. You must first have faced and healed the darkness of your own trauma.

Did you guys know I also had a mastectomy?

I did!! In 2012 I have a prophylactic Bilateral Mastectomy due to a BRCA1 diagnosis and the finding of a large mass

It was incredibly difficult for me to navigate the emotional fallout of going through this experience, so I focused see even harder on using tattoos to heal

I was so happy when my scars were finally ready for this beautiful tattoo, done by

I loved my body more than I ever thought possible and definitely more than I did before losing my breasts, because I had finally learned how to really appreciate it!!

I was so honoured when I received the invitation to speak at the Queen City tattoo show in Charlotte NC in 2018!

Of course, as usual, I focused on the emotional importance of quality rather than the technical side of things which really requires in-depth conversations with a master tattooer

I try to spark a deep sense of curiosity when I share knowledge. I aim to inspire dedication to learning every little thing about scar tissue and the way it behaves. If you really understand it, then you will be able to execute technical excellence in any type of damage!
