It was a bittersweet day as we celebrated Dr. Karl Fickling's retirement from Texas Baptists. Karl has served as our Director of Interim Church Services for 20 years. Karl, may God richly bless you as you begin this next chapter. We will miss you!

Thankful for a great Young Senior Pastors Retreat. Short and sweet, but an encouraging time together.

We are excited to share that Dr. Tim Watson, current director of Area Representatives and Area Representative for East Texas (Area 7), will begin serving in the additional role of Associational Relations director.

Tim has served with Texas Baptists for ten years and brings 35 years of pastoral ministry experience to his roles with our denomination. During his almost forty years in vocational ministry, he has been a champion for associational work, understanding that one of Baptists’ great strengths has always been working together for the purpose of missions, evangelism and church planting.

CPU was started by baptist missionaries over 100 years ago and has over 18,000 students. Ernest, may God bless you as you start this new chapter. You've been a joy to work with!
