On 11/20/23 The EPCSOA and Patrol Deputies/COP Reps from all three patrol stations distributed turkeys to families in the county.

The turkeys were generously donated by The El Paso County Sheriff’s Officers Association along with the assistance of the Neighborhood Walmart #5960 (Socorro).

Families were thankful not only for receiving a turkey for their Thanksgiving dinner, but were also thankful to see Deputies along with the EPCSOA support their community.

We have reached out to the APA to let them know we stand ready to help with anything they need as they deal with this horrible tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and coworkers.

The EPCSOA was honored to be part of the “Walk for Victims of Crime” hosted by the District Attorney’s Office. We provided drinks for the participants as we stand with crime victims and their families!

Earlier this year the head football coach, Mr. Eric Pichardo; from Austin High School had reached out to one of our members (Sgt. Hernandez) asking for pre-game meals for their football team. The Austin High School football team also has 24 players enrolled in the Sandra O’Connor Criminal Justice Academy. This request was presented to our Association, so on October 27th; deputies (Association Members) met up with Coach Pichardo and his staff to present pre-game meals to all the football players. All of the high school players were thankful and appreciative with our Sheriff’s Officers Association for the support. The students were encouraged by our Association Members to continue their athletic path and their interest in Criminal Justice.

Last night, the Peter J Herrera Patrol Station participated in the 4th Annual Gold Out Parade by supporting Childhood Cancer patients, survivors and their families. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Officers Association stands united in the fight against cancer. A special thank you to Constable Javier Garcia and Deputy Constable’s from Precinct 6 for allowing us to take part in this event.

Today we signed our new contract with the County, assuring pay and benefits for the hard-working women and men of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. This goes into effect October 1st, 2023. Thank you to the County Judge and Commissioners for their continued support. Thank you to the great citizens of El Paso County for allowing us to continue serving you!
