We are gearing up for the Sherburne County Fair, we will have our food booth open and we are looking for volunteers to help the Elk River Lions SERVE our community. Last week the Elk River Lions Club was able to purchase and donate this self propelled electric lawnmower to a local resident. Thank you Lion Fred and Lion Tyler, for putting this machine together and delivering it to the new owner.

Now through December 13th Wyndham Garden will be accepting toy donations on behalf of Gifts Anonymous!

We welcome all toy contributions, and to express our gratitude, donations with a value of $15 or more will receive a complimentary waterpark pass to enjoy a day of fun and excitement at the Wild Woods Waterpark!

Your generosity makes a difference, and we can't wait to see the smiles your donations will bring.

The Community Connect coat drive led by CAER is happening now!
This is a great project for an office or community group, or a great way to go through your closet and find gently used items that are ready for a new home!

Items can be dropped off at CAER by October 12 to be ready for the Community Connect event on October 19, but CAER also accepts winter gear donations throughout the winter as well.

Thank you to the Elk River Lions Club for their generosity to help support the CAER Backpack/School Supply Distribution! This wonderful organization not only donated $2,500 towards the purchase of supplies, but they bought/donated additional backpack/supplies as well!

Join us this Saturday morning to kickoff Prairie Festival. We are excited to Serve you with Otsego Lions.
All proceeds are given back to our local community!

Rivers of Hope is the sole provider of domestic violence in Wright & Sherburne Counties. Our Color Run is a way for us to bring awareness to the fact that domestic violence is prevalent in our community and to raise money to ensure that we are able to continue offering free advocacy services to those in need.
We serve both adults and youth. Our Youth Advocates work closely with schools to ensure that they have a safe meeting place where they can offer 1:1 support to students experiencing family or teen dating violence. In these meetings they safety plan with the youth, talk to them about a variety of topics including healthy relationships, boundaries, and self-care, and offer them ongoing support. In addition to 1:1 meetings, the advocates offer classroom-based presentations aimed at teaching youth in the community how to recognize the warning signs of abuse and what resources are available to them if they are in an unhealthy relationship.

Have you heard the news! Ellk River Lions will be serving beer and other flavored beverages the whole weekend at Wild West Days in Zimmerman!! We have $1 beer night Thursday and Sunday night. We will have 2 locations set-up Fri-Sunday and look forward to another fun filled weekend. We have multiple organizations and fellow Lions Clubs that have graciously signed up to Serve with us.
We also are selling raffle tickets for $2 each that will be giving away $750 cash for 1st place, $250 cash for 2nd place and 3rd and 4th prizes are family packages for Sherburne county fair in July valued at $250 each. Drawing is Sunday night at 8pm in Civic building at the fair!!
Bingo is Saturday and Sunday from 3-6pm under big tent also!

We know with the road closures this weekend, it may take a little detour to get to Broadway but we will be here and look what's happening!!
Meat Raffles tonight 5:30pm at least 11 rounds and a chance to WIN our $110 meat package!!!
BINGO Sat. 2pm- package sales start 1:15 we have our monthly Super Saturday Bingo and 10 games have $50-$200 payouts =$1,200 + 2 Coveralls. $30per package of 6 faces per game.
We also have Pulltabs and E-tabs available.
Life is all about obstacles, so we will get through them together!! See you there !!

Happy Easter!! Elk River Lions had their annual Visit from the Easter Bunny at Kjs last Sunday and had 356 kids attend. Was a great day with lots of smiling faces. We gave away 18 bikes to youth 12 and under + fun activities, crafts and games. Thank you all that attended for supporting us and hope you enjoyed your Visit and also a Big Thanks to our Volunteers that were a tremendous help with such a great turnout!!
