Freshwater Grange 499 is embarking on an ambitious 3 phase project! We are renovating and upgrading our hall to be an Emergency Safety Resource Center for the community. Our goal is to provide the community with shelter, supplies, power to charge medical devices, heat, a kitchen, operating refrigerators to keep food and medicine cold, and as a clean air station. During an emergency the Grange will act as a hub for these services as outlined in the Community Emergency Response Trainings (CERT) and by the Humboldt County Office of Emergency Services.
Our “Rays on the Roof” donation drive kicks off fundraising for phase 1 of our community safety project. We have an ambitious goal of $38,000 to fund the installation of solar panels, heat pumps, and a propane generator. The Grange has raised $24,000 towards our goal.
Your tax deductible contribution will help complete this project and bring a much needed resource to the greater Freshwater Valley Community. Thank you!
