Sandhills Jazz Society brings exciting event to Fayetteville - Up and Coming Weekly “Blue Marlin” is short, about 120 pages, each filled with Lee Smith’s warm and sympathetic storytelling gifts and characters who reach out and remind us of people we knew growing up. It was released April 21, 2020 and is sure to ease the discomfort of our confinement while social distancing.

The Sandhills Jazz Society (SJS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to perpetuate and advance the cultural art form of jazz through performances, education and outreach activities. The founders have been producing quality Jazz performances in the North Carolina Sandhills region for over 14 years. The purpose of the Sandhills Jazz Society is to enhance the appreciation of jazz as an American musical art form through live jazz performances and education in the North Carolina Sandhills Region. The Sandhills Jazz Society will entertain and educate the local community through opportunities to see and hear top quality jazz artist; as well as support jazz education for young aspiring musicians in our area.
Our activities are supported in part through membership donations. Membership is an investment in the continuation of this great American music. Your membership donation helps to support our jazz concert presentations, free in-school jazz performances, free jazz concerts in the community, free jazz jam sessions for student musicians, free workshops for students and other jazz related events and activities.
