We here at The RLEI are so incredibly proud of Energy MBA candidate Martha Santos. Not only is she an incredible asset to the Institute, she is a proud graduate of the TCU Ranch Management Program and a wonderful ambassador for all things TCU.

The Ralph Lowe Energy Institute Team considers ourselves lucky to be under the leadership of Dean Pullin--an innovator, a risk-within-reason taker, an entrepreneur at heart, a believer in a longer-tables, diverse-voices approach to teammates and a champion of all things TCU – Texas Christian University. We often reference The DP Rule "Does it make it better? Then do it" when making decisions at The RLEI.
Congrats Daniel Pullin, well done and well deserved.

This moment from Saturday’s game, where Horned Frogs QB Max Duggan is stopped just short, seems like an ending.
Especially knowing what we know now, that TCU Football eventually lost The Big 12 Championship in OT.
The thing (and really it’s the best thing about college athletics) is you can’t lose if you don’t quit. That run by Duggan, that willingness to leave everything on the field, to never give up was cited by the committee when answering why TCU is in the playoff. It is partially why Duggan is headed to New York City as a Heisman finalist. And it very well may be why he wins on Saturday and TCU wins a National Championship.
So congrats Max on being a Heisman Trophy finalist. And thank you for reminding all of us at The Ralph Lowe Energy Institute to never give up on ourselves, our dreams, our teammates.
What happens when you cross a TCU legend and an Emmy winner…
…this is, in the sports radio world, what you call a tease.
The RLEI team is excited to share this “big energy” project with everybody soon. Until then,
As we wrap up a week of thankfulness, the TCU Energy Institute wanted to thank the many people working in every facet and form of energy for quite literally turning the lights on and making moments like this Saturday at The Amon possible.
Undefeated.
Under the lights.
Magic.
Good luck to Team Hypnotoads who are representing The RLEI in The Switch Energy Alliance Case Competition at the University of Texas at Austin. They tackled developing a 30-year plan for improving energy access and reliability for Ghana.
Great teamwork by Energy MBA candidate Jessica Carnes and MBA candidate Spencer Jones, TCU undergrads Luke Fravel and Patrick Ahearn, and mentor RLEI executive director Ann Bluntzer, PhD.
When we have conversations about the future of the energy industry, what we really are talking about are the students of today. They will lead this future.
The RLEI is incredibly lucky to have a board with members committed to this belief. They have done an amazing job during Texas Christian University's of stepping up and leading important conversations at TCU Neeley School of Business and YPE Dallas about energy security and balancing goals of carbon neutrality with economic reality and how to lead in a sustainable future.
Thank you to Christopher Paulsen, Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Pioneer Natural Resources Company and to Lori Ryerkerk CEO of Celanese Corporation for being so generous with your time and talent and to John Di Donato National Vice President Renewable Development and Origination at NextEra Energy Resources who will be joining the panel at The Institute's "Energy Security Summit" in less than 24 hours.
An organization is only as good as its best players and, well, our best are the absolute best.
If you are not following on Instagram, you are missing high-level learning opportunities, like becoming familiar with The Wonder Twins and being able to drop that reference in any conversation.
And we took over TCU Neeley Graduate Programs Insta this week () so Wonder Twins really activate.
Getting ready(and excited) for TCU Energy Week here at The RLEI. Come join us for important conversations with industry leaders, alums and students.

Thursday (10/13): YPE Dallas luncheon with RLEI Board member, Lori Ryerkerk, CEO of Celanese 11:30a at The Dallas Petroleum Club
Friday (10/14): The Kenneth W. Davis Jr. Speakers Series featuring a global panel to discuss one of the biggest issues in the industry right now: Energy Security. 12-2p at The Neeley School.
You never forget your first--your first Star-Telegram sports column, your first ESPN Radio billboard, your first FoxSports 1 promo and now this.....my first TCU Neeley School of Business sign.
Look for these "Minor In Something Major" signs around campus starting next week AND take a selfie w/a sign and tag on Instagram to have a chance to win RLEI swag which is a good deal because
Or better yet stop by The Institute to learn why an energy minor is the real flex.
First the pins, now baseball caps. Our swag has swagger at The RLEI. A big s/o to Standpoint Fort Worth for delivering on our vision of "cool caps that people will actually wear". Done. And done.
I have started settling into-glowing up my office at The RLEI, and I happened upon this bag of pins hiding in the bottom of a drawer.
Talk about OG RLEI.
Seeing so many of our awesome energy minors and their families together on campus for TCU Parents Weekend had us smiling.
We love our students like (pictured with his mom and sister). And we recognize families like Luke's have entrusted us with their MIPs--to teach them, to help them, to challenge them and to send them off into the world ready for the great adventure that lies ahead.
S-E ... C Saturday's scoreboard for what's what.
Because TCU 55, ou 24.
Congrats to Sonny D***s and everybody at TCU Football for a great W, an undefeated start and a reminder that anything is possible when you are part of a great team.
Of course, we are partial to our little Ralph Lowe Energy Institute team and two of our best--Mary Ralph Lowe and Eli Garcia--were at The Amon G. Carter on Saturday cheering on The Frogs.
Game on, Jayhawks.
And Save The Date because TCU-OkSt is a HUGE weekend for The RLEI as our Energy MBA alumni and students, energy minors and prospective students descend on Fort Worth for our RLEI board meeting, our Energy Security Summit and a little football game taking place, too.
DM us for more deets.
We're a little biased AND there is just something special when a former Frog returns to campus and crushes like Vulcan Consultants CEO Kent McCarthy did Tuesday. He spoke to Ann Bluntzer, PhD 's ESG class and really explained what this means for industry going forward. So many quotable moments came from his lecture but we are partial to this: "Energy is the only currency." Thank you, Kent.
TCU Neeley School of Business TCU Energy Club
TCU Energy Club is a student-run organization at TCU – Texas Christian University for both graduate and undergraduate students who have an interest in energy which, in our humble opinion here at The RLEI, should be everybody. Because energy and industry policy will be important in just about every industry in the years ahead--law, politics, journalism and, yes, finance.
A point driven home by Danny Rice, partner of Rice Investment Group, as he spoke to The Energy Club at TCU Neeley School of Business Monday. His perspective about how the trifecta of energy--reliable, low cost and clean--must not only be applied when looking at energy supply but also with energy investment.
When The Petroleum Club of Fort Worth invited Dr. Ann Bluntzer to speak Tuesday, the executive director of The Ralph Lowe Institute had only one request.
Could she bring a plus-10?
So the future energy workforce (an impressive group of TCU undergrads) spent lunch learning from the leaders in energy in Fort Worth, Texas. Including RLEI board members Greg Bird of Jetta Midstream, Mark Rollins of Hillwood, Jacob Daniels (a TCU Energy MBA alum) from US Energy Development Corporation and William Butler of Brazos Midsteam. He also spoke, and his remarks encapsulated this feeling of responsibility a lot of energy companies have at this moment in the industry. Very powerful talk.
The strength of an Energy MBA from The RLEI at TCU Neeley School of Business is not simply what you learn but who you learn from ... and Kimmeridge's Megan Hays is one of the best.
She's a member of The RLEI Board.
A TCU alum.
And a wealth of knowledge on the dynamic, evolving pursuit of net zero in E&P.
Hays will be Zoom-ing w/the TCU Energy Club at 530 tonight to discuss Kimmeridge's latest paper on the current state of play in the industry and what to expect going forward.
The best part is The RLEI welcomes(and encourages) anybody to Zoom in. Energy touches almost every industry right now--journalism, law, politics...
In fact, we encourage TCU students from all the colleges to come and talk to us about
Ralph Lowe Energy Institute at the Neeley School of Business updated their website address.
🌟 The TCU Energy Institute has a new name 🌟
We’re pleased to announce the TCU Energy Institute is now the Ralph Lowe Energy Institute at the TCU Neeley School of Business, honoring the late Ralph Lowe for his longtime leadership in the energy industry and his family’s generous support of TCU – Texas Christian University. Mary Ralph Lowe, a member of the TCU Board of Trustees, made a significant philanthropic investment to help endow and name the institute as a tribute to her late father.
“I am thrilled and proud that the legacy of my father and his impact on the energy industry will be honored in such a meaningful and lasting way. Our family looks forward to continuing to play a role in the development of future leaders through the Ralph Lowe Energy Institute at the TCU Neeley School of Business.”
