Patti Jordan, a Neeley associate professor of professional practice in supply chain management, shared her insights with NBC DFW on the Canadian railroad lockout and the impact it is expected to have on the U.S.

"Canadians move a lot of their product by rail because of the mass amounts of area that they have to cover,” Patti said. “With that said, with the United States-Mexican-Canadian freight agreements that we have, a lot of product flows from Canada to the U.S. to Mexico and back and forth. In today's world, all three of us are pretty much intertwined."

Reflecting on 6 years as co‐Editors‐in‐Chief of JOM 08/09/2024

Congratulations to Tyson Browning for his recent publication in the Journal of Operations Management. His editorial, "Reflecting on 6 years as co-Editors-in-Chief of JOM," offers insightful perspectives on the developments in operations management over the past half-decade. 👏 🎉

At TCU Neeley, achieving our research goals means producing scholarship and serving in leadership roles like editorial board memberships and editorships. These roles are demanding but vital for TCU – Texas Christian University.

Thank you, Tyson, for your dedication and for making us better. We especially enjoyed this closing comment in the article:

“It is a never-ending job, one from which it is challenging to find a break (as when Suzanne suffered through a small computer-monitor screen and poor internet connectivity in the Finnish forest, and when Tyson took several one-hundred-mile hikes with a laptop computer in his backpack). We look forward to remembering what an actual, disconnected vacation feels like! We have relied on the fantastic support of the entire JOM community, especially the excellent authors, DEs, GEs, AEs, and reviewers who make the Journal what it is.”

For four years, TCU Neeley Office of Inclusive Excellence has hosted the weeklong Accelerated Career Awareness Program in partnership with NABA Inc.

This year included corporate tours of Topgolf Callaway and Gulfstream Aerospace, etiquette lessons, brand development and working in teams to create a business pitch. Thanks to longtime corporate partner PepsiCo, there were plenty of snacks.

The pitch competition's winning team presented their business plan during the closing luncheon before family and friends. Their concept sells an affordable system that provides video review for sports teams and referees by incorporating AI technology to quickly evaluate questionable calls.
