One Safe Place
Working to prevent crime and violence in Tarrant County's neighborhoods, schools, and homes. Most people recognize hitting as abuse or violence.
But the fact is that any relationship may be considered abusive if one person tries to control another through isolation, fear, threats, or by making the other person feel badly. These situations have the potential to become violent if the abuser doesn't receive help.
Throughout October for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we came together to honor survivors, raise awareness, and empower voices. From our Women of Hope Breakfast to Purple Thursday, every event was a powerful reminder of the resilience and courage within our community. Hereโs how we joined forces for awareness and empowerment:
๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐ โ Honoring lives lost, acknowledging the journey of survivors, and recommitting to our mission of safety and healing.
๐ ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ช๐ฌ๐บ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐ โ A powerful day of connection and self-care, where we came together to remind each other that we are not alone.

September is Su***de Prevention Month. Studies show that victims of domestic violence are more likely to face mental health struggles like depression, anxiety, and PTSD, with 1 in 3 survivors having considered su***de.
Survivors matter. You matter. Your mental health matters.
If you feel unsafe or fearful around your partner, it's possible you're experiencing abuse. While the situation can be complex, these feelings are often a strong indicator of abuse or abusive behaviors. And it may be time to consider steps toward finding safety and freedom.
๐ A thoughtful reminder from one of our on-site partners: Be gentle with your mental health. โค๏ธ๐ง If you're seeking support on your journey toward a violence-free life, we're here for you.
๐Moms and Dads, we get it. Life can be busy and hard and beautiful all at the same time. ๐ This is your friendly reminder for that mental health is an essential part of our well-being for a thriving life.
Every survivorโs story is unique, as is their pathway to hope. Every donation helps survivors and their families take another step on their pathway to hope. Our goal for North Texas Giving Day is to fund five families' journeys toward a violence-free life.
