An important update for our guests about this year’s Dedication Day program :)

Due to a potential U.S. government shutdown, the Nov. 19 Dedication Day ceremony will now be held at the Majestic Theater at 25 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg.

On Dedication Day every year, we celebrate the anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address and honor the Civil War soldiers laid to rest here. This year marks 160 years since Lincoln delivered his immortal speech at the dedication of Gettysburg National Cemetery.

Sunday’s ceremony at the Majestic is free to attend, but seats are limited. Doors will open to the public at 9:30 a.m. More info: https://bit.ly/46n9omV.

The Nov. 18 Remembrance Day Parade downtown will continue as planned.

In the event of a government shutdown, we’ll provide updates here and at DestinationGettysburg.com/travel-updates/.

We hope you'll join us as we commemorate this historic occasion!

Meet our Executive Chef, Brent Golding! A Littlestown native, Brent has worked at fine local establishments such as Antrim 1844 and the Sheppard Mansion, but most of his cooking career has been spent elsewhere, notably in Nashville, at Josephine and Husk. He looks forward to continuing his focus on ingredient-driven and seasonal cuisine through the abundant offerings of our county—and bringing a hint of Pennsylvania Dutch flavor to the Buck!

One of the best things about our kitchen is that it’s wide open to the public. Come by and see our phenomenal back of house team work its magic sometime soon.

The boulder-strewn area known as Devil’s Den is one of Adams County’s most impressive natural features. It also is the product of powerful geological processes spanning millions of years.

The boulders formed when liquid magma deep underground forced its way to the surface, then cooled and hardened into igneous rock. Over time, softer sediments around the rock eroded. This exposed the boulders we now see in and around Gettysburg.

Interested in learning more about Devil's Den and the other natural rock formations nearby? Be sure to visit our new museum, Gettysburg Beyond the Battle, opening in 2023!
