NCAI is now accepting applications for the Wilma Mankiller Fellowship Program for Tribal Policy and Governance Fellowship. This program provides an exceptional opportunity for emerging young professionals throughout Indian Country to work side by side with national leaders in tribal policy. The eleven-month fellowship includes a stipend and benefits and begins in the summer/early fall of 2013. Two to three applicants are selected to serve in each Fellow class. Grants are available for the development and operation of tribal domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions in Indian country.

• Current Tribal Coalitions Program grantees who are seeking funding to continue projects that were funded in Fiscal Year 2011 or earlier
• Established nonprofit tribal coalitions that formerly received funding from the Tribal Coalitions Program
• First-time applicants that have never before received funding from the Tribal Coalitions Program. First-time applicants must be incorporated as a nonprofit organization, must be able to provide proof of incorporation, and must have a primary mission of addressing crimes of sexual assault and/or domestic violence committed against Alaska Native and American Indian women. The White Mountain Branch of the USPHS Commissioned Officers Association is pleased to announce a call for applications for 2013 – 2014 scholarships. This scholarship program is available to all Alaskan Native/American Indian students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.

Applicants must be Alaskan Native/American Indian students currently registered in an undergraduate program and will continue to be an undergraduate student for the 2013 – 2014 school year located in the United States.
