From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reveals God’s plan of redemption, culminating in the renewal of all creation through Jesus. This truth gives us hope and purpose, knowing that every struggle, every trial, is moving us toward the day when Christ returns to set everything right in a glorious new beginning that cannot be broken.

We’re so excited to see who God brings together to dive into the Book of Revelation with us this year! It’s going to be an amazing year, and we can’t wait to learn, grow, and connect as a group. Whether you’ve studied Revelation before or it’s your first time, you’re welcome here! It’s not the end, it’s the beginning.

Tomorrow night we set the stage for studying the book of Revelation - the last book of the Bible, but one more step in our journey to knowing Jesus and the hope He brings. Join us!

For the past few years, our leadership has started off the year with a mini retreat to laugh together, build connection, and prepare our hearts for the study ahead. There’s great benefit in having a chance to slow down, prepare our hearts, and pray that we lead humbly as well as for all who attend our class as we study together this year. We’re grateful for this time and looking forward to what God is going to do! There’s a 90% chance we’ll be thawed out by Monday. See ya then!

Only feels right that we ended the year with a cake fail. What a JOY it was to celebrate this year with you last night by hearing big picture themes and attributes about God that stood out to your groups. What a privilege to witness convicting and personal sharing about how God has used John and this BSF space to speak and transform powerfully. Thank you all for studying alongside us this year. We look forward to what God is going to do in our lives as we study Revelation next year! Say hello to the newest member of BSF leadership! Although Jacob began attending BSF two years ago, he joined Admin in February of this year. He may have been the last to join the team but we’re thankful for his willingness to jump in with both feet! When he isn't busy setting up for Monday night or discussing the finer points of a theological doctrine, you might find him reading sci fi or playing games with his family.

We face many trials as believers, and on our own we can’t make the trials better. God has promised in those times of struggle that he is always with us. We may never get answers for why something happened, but if we put our trust in God, He will strengthen and grow our faith. As we live by faith and not by sight, we surrender to God and He will carry us through.

How has Jesus invested in you this year? What new ways have you experienced Jesus that helped you grow closer to Him? Following the theme from this year of making Jesus known, how will you go forward, sharing what Jesus has taught you through the study of John's Gospel?

John's Gospel reveals Christ and calls us to believe in Him.

James has been attending BSF for two years and is already well into his first year as part of the admin team! We're thankful to have him around. Ask him about his love for Reign energy drinks, mountain biking, and driving semi trucks all over Michigan!

It's so easy to look at other believers and wonder why God is leading us differently. Why does God call some believers to great acts for Him and others to small ones? Like Peter though, Jesus calls us to leave the comparison game behind: "... what is that to you? You must follow me." If we truly believe in God's sovereignty, His love, and His promises, then what's keeping us from obeying Jesus' command? Will you surrender your plans and control of your life to Him and let Him lead?

Through God’s grace, believers are empowered for faithful service.

Emily is one of our newest group leaders, and a capable one at that! Even after only two years, she's already made BSF history by being the first leader to own a pet scorpion and bring it to leaders' meeting... As if we weren't already impressed by her capabilities! Ask her about adventuring in Alaska, volleyball tips, and the many other exotic (and not so exotic) pets she's cared for.

Jesus said that it didn't matter if John was going to stay alive until Jesus' return. The important thing was for Peter to follow Him. This reply caused the other disciples to think John would never die but they missed the point. Our focus should be on following Jesus, not on what plans God has for those around us. What good does it do us to fret over the path God has someone else on? Better to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and just follow Him.

If we believe in Christ, we will be called children of God. After Jesus' resurrection He commissioned His disciples to go make disciples of all nations in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He reassures us that He will be with us to the very end of the age. If God is for us, who can be against us?

In John 20, we witness the transformative power of Christ's victory over death, as He dispels the shadows of despair and uncertainty, offering us a hope that transcends the grave forever.
