Engine 53, Engine 51, Rescue 52 responded to the area of Crestwood Forest Dr for a reported vehicle fire. Engine 53 arrived on scene with a working car fire and quickly extinguished the fire. Engine 51 was held on scene for additional man power, Rescue 52 was canceled upon arrival. No injuries was reported on this incident.

The proponents of sewer dissolution say it will save taxpayers money. The facts disagree: The Greenville News calculated that sewer charges for more than 40,000 residents in the Gantt, Parker and Wade Hampton districts could increase by an average of 52% annually if the consolidation plan is approved. More than 50,000 residents in the Berea, Taylors and Marietta districts could see their yearly charges decrease by 7%. Those calculations are based on rate data supplied by MetroConnects and a consultant's financial analysis.
