Our Story
Village Launch exists to equip under-resourced entrepreneurs to become providers, creators, and producers in their own communities. Our goal is to equip starters with the capacity to expand their own businesses, provide for themselves, and employ others. Through our Business Entrepreneur Academy (BEA), individuals formalize their specific business plans, begin testing their market, and pitch their proposals to investors and members of the community. Village Launch offers a smart start to your business serving emerging, grass-root entrepreneurs. We proudly serve our community of creators working to improve their economic outlook; more than 90 percent of which are women and 75 percent are African-American owned businesses.
Since launching the program in 2016, we have graduated 47 businesses and are expanding our alumni entrepreneur network to include access to our co-working space at Textile Hall in the Village of West Greenville. We also recently launched a DHEC-approved, commercial incubator kitchen to serve as an affordable space for our food-based businesses.
