March 17-23: 2024 Statewide Walk, Run, and Roll for Brain Injury Awareness

The Brain Injury Association of SC (BIASC) will be hosting a statewide Walk, Run, and Roll March 17-23, 2023, for Brain Injury Awareness Month.

This event will promote awareness about brain injury and raise funds to support the efforts of the BIASC.

The BIASC’s mission is “creating a better future through brain injury prevention, research, education and advocacy.”

We encourage anyone impacted (personally or professionally) by brain injury to participate in this year’s awareness event by getting a group together to walk, run or roll on a specific day during that week.

Please register early to receive a t-shirt mailed directly to you and wear it on your special day!

We are very proud of Liz and all of the other individuals who work at Bon Secours Wellness Arena! We want to give a shout out to her job coach Holly for helping Liz find work that she loves!

At the May 25 Board Meeting, individuals supported by Thrive Upstate Employment Services shared how they are "thriving at work" at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Phil Dye, Event Services Manager, received an award in recognition of BSWA's much appreciated efforts to help individuals with disabilities thrive in life, work and play. We're excited to announce that we'll be hosting another FREE Brain Injury Friendly Art Class on Tuesday, March 14. Join artist, brain injury survivor, and advocate Allison Moir-Smith for a relaxing virtual art lesson. The theme will be Rainbow & a Pot of Gold for St. Patrick's Day!
