PNW’s Model United Nation Team hosted a very productive simulation Wed. Sept 20 “The Situation in Afghanistan” practicing with teams from Valparaiso University and Prairie State College. Thank you to the Department of History, Philosophy, Politics, and Economics for pizza 🍕 after our simulation!!

Students are fired up to keep running simulations throughout the fall in the lead up to the American Model United Nations conference Nov 18-21, 2023 at the Chicago Grand Sheraton hotel. 🇺🇳 where PNW will sit on the Security Council as 🇲🇿 Mozambique

PNW students had an outstanding opportunity to meet and hear the reflections of Ukranian President Viktor Yuschenko on Monday Sept 16 at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Joey Ignatauk, Mya Bell, President Yuschenko, Oby Adindu, Auzi Mahmood, Joseph Burns, Prof. Meg Rincker, Candace Pick.

Purdue Northwest students participating in today’s Model Illinois Government pre-simulation at Prairie State College! Debating Actual Bills that came before the last General Assembly on i) legalizing fireworks and ii) school educational programming on harms of sexting.

Recent PNW grads  and anyone who will have completed their Bachelors within 18 months prior to program start in August 2023, apply for the prestigious Dunn Fellowship, application due Feb. 15! They have postings in Chicago and Springfield IL. email Dr. Rincker for more details.

PLEN offers phenomenal 4 -day networking workshops in Washington DC with lawmakers and political professionals. Women and STEM policy? March 14-16, right when PNW is on Spring Break, an excellent time to go!! Women and Global Policy? May 22-26! 

PNW students like Paloma Castaneda Roza Tawil Kylie Smolar and many others have participated in these workshops before, and say it launched their careers in state government and law.
