Brother Donald Jay Rickles (May 8, 1926 – April 6, 2017) was an American stand-up comedian, actor, and author, known especially for his insult comedy. He was raised a Master Mason at Service City Geba Lodge No. 1009 in Astoria, New York on June 6, 1953.
His film roles included Run Silent, Run Deep (1958) with Clark Gable and Kelly's Heroes (1970) with Clint Eastwood, and beginning in 1976 he enjoyed a two-year run starring in the NBC television sitcom C.P.O. Sharkey. Rickles received widespread exposure as a frequent guest on talk and variety shows, including The Dean Martin Show, The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and Late Show with David Letterman, and later voiced Mr. Potato Head in the Toy Story franchise. He won a Primetime Emmy Award for the 2007 documentary Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project.

Today, Freemasons celebrate the birthday of Prince Hall, the namesake founder of Prince Hall Freemasonry. In honor of the day, here are some facts about Prince Hall Freemasonry in Pennsylvania (Prince Hall PA), which has been active in the state for 200+ years!
- Like The Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, F & AM, the Prince Hall Grand Lodge is also located on Broad St. The two Grand Lodges occupy different ends of the street and are about 20 minutes driving distance apart from each other.
- Well-known Prince Hall Freemasons in Pennsylvania include former Philadelphia mayor Rev. Brother W. Wilson Goode Sr., who was made a Mason-at-sight in 1993.

Our beloved island of Maui was touched by the destructive forces of fires that swept through the community, leaving devastation in their wake. As Brothers of the Craft, let us remember that adversity only strengthens our bonds. Let us also use this moment to reflect on the fragility of life and the importance of being prepared, not just physically, but also in terms of the support systems we offer to one another.

Grand Master Dustin T. Verity has requested the Masonic Service Association of North America (MSA) to issue this Disaster Relief Appeal.
