The story of how JP became the Janesville Pride mascot is a silly one. Back in 2021 when Janesville Pride had yet to become a 501c3 non-profit, the lovely Katie Myers at Statefarm partnered with Janesville Pride to fundraise to secure our non-profit filing fees. A challenge was issued that if the funds were raised by midnight on a certain day that Ali, Janesville Pride’s founder, would accept the Statefarm donation in an inflatable T-Rex costume. And thus JP was born.

The Janesville Pride team will be at our booth (number 43) at National Night Out tonight at Traxler Park. Come see us, hang out, and learn about our next events ♥️🏳️‍🌈

With IMPACT 2024 now behind us, we would love your feedback on how you think we did. This year our indoor location presented a new set of wins and challenges. We tried new things with layout, registrations, entertainment, and vendors; and some things worked beautifully while others didn't quite hit the mark. Every year we learn and adapt to create an even better event for the following year.

We are so excited to bring this amazing event to Janesville! For those that have attended our Pride in the Park events, this is the same event only moved indoors into sweet sweet airconditioning and protection from the elements. We are thrilled to be partnered with The Venue on July 13th from 10-8pm! Come support our q***r owned and affiliated vendors, organization partners, drag performers, entertainers and more! We cant wait to celebrate with everyone!

We have compiled an amazon list of items needed for our IMPACT event. Decorations, items for logistical and operational needs, security and safety items, and more are listed. This is perfect for those that wish to sponsor a small part of our event in a big way. The majority of our most needed items fall under $30. Items can be purchased by community members and delivered to Janesville Pride staff directly, in perfect time for the event.

Our friends over at Comedy Cabin got a not so friendly voicemail in regards to their drag show tonight with our lovely Miranda Maize. Thinking this calls for us to stand together and remind Janesville that drag is celebrated and beautiful here.

Janesville Pride will be meeting up in the Mystic Moraine Minerals parking lot (500 w Milwaukee at, janesville) to paint cars to form a rainbow caravan in support at 2:30pm. All are welcome to join! We will depart for rockton at 3:15pm.
