Thanks to all volunteers, especially Dorothy & Barry, Laurie & Dan, and Betty & Dean for suppers. And, of course, thanks to Team Rubicon for doing such hard work in Janesville to help us recover. Special shout out to SWEPT volunteer Heather Garey who actually went out to help after serving breakfast!

07/02/2024

Another group of people that we couldn't do without is our breakfast crew, who made sure Team Rubicon had a great start to their busy days. Along with donations from Kwik Trip on Hwy 51 and McDonald's on Center Ave., our wonderful volunteers Heather Garey, Jeff A Lowery, John Iverson, and Sue North have made breakfast the most important meal of the day. Thank you for all your help and time!!

We can't thank Dorothy & Barry enough for their hard work and caring dedication. Along with organizing the suppers for Team Rubicon, they also made much of them. Your delicious meals of meal loaf, brats, and lasagna, as well as Betty's famous cheesy potatoes, were greatly appreciated. Many thanks to Betty & Dean for their help as well.

Happy 4th and please stay safe!

Today, SWEPT provided lunch for police officers working storm/tornado followup. Thank you to Jimmy John's (2200 W. Court St., Janesville, WI) for donating subs!

SWEPT is very happy to be helping the community by feeding first responders when they are involved in a major event. When you support our fundraising efforts, like Culver's Scoopie Days/Nights, the entire donation goes towards food and drinks that are needed at these times. Thank you!

A huge shout out to Jeff, Dave, and Nancy for helping again this morning, and also to McDonald's on Pontiac Ave, Kwik Trip on Humes Rd, and Casey's on Center Ave for their wonderful donations. Please patronize these businesses to show your appreciation for their support.

We were called out to support the firefighters at Stations 1 & 2 tonight. Culver's came through as usual with delicious cheeseburgers. They are always a huge hit! Bud, Jeff, Dave, and Nancy also delivered snacks and drinks, and will also help tomorrow morning for breakfast. Thanks to our volunteers and Culver’s!

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week which that date falls as Police Week. A time dedicated to pay recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the protection of others.

This Police Week 2024, we honor the four Wisconsin heroes who will be added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington DC this year. Their names will be added to the more than 24,000 men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice serving their communities, their states, and our country.

As we remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty, we also honor the brave men and women around the country who serve their communities, ensuring the safety and security of us all.

We appreciate you and stay safe!
