As we gather around tables filled with gratitude, it's important to recognize the bittersweet emotions this Thanksgiving brings, especially for those in the military and veteran community.
We cherish the freedoms we enjoy, the warmth of family and friends. Yet, our hearts hold a space for those serving overseas and the cherished ones who couldn't make it home. In this small but resilient community, these unique circumstances shape our reflections during this season.
This Thanksgiving, let's extend a special thanks to all who have served and continue to serve, and to their families who share in the sacrifices. Your strength and dedication are the threads that weave the fabric of our gratitude.
Thank you Merging Vets and Players for incredible evening of bonding and conversation.

Edrys Leyva reminds us that access to healthcare is a fundamental issue that affects us all. He knows firsthand, having left communist Cuba as a pre-teen where health care is strictly controlled. It was shocking to him that he encountered barriers to receive care from the VA as a Navy veteran.
Let's demand concrete plans from our presidential candidates to improve healthcare access for veterans and all Americans.
Our nations veterans need urgent mental health care reform.
