So far we have over 2,000 coat requests from schools & organizations in need, from far east as Pikeville to schools right here in the city of Lexington! Now the grind begins to meet that need!!! The best way you can support is to get your church, work place, fraternity or sorority to host internal coat drives collect BRAND NEW youth coats and get them to us by December 1st! For those wanting to make monetary donations or drop off coat donations, please look at the flier in the comments! This is year 11! Let’s continue being a blessing to children in need this winter!

Blue Grass Community Foundation kicks off Lexington’s first Black Philanthropy Week Next week kicks off Lexington’s first ever Black Philanthropy Week. It’s an online giving campaign where anyone can donate to black-led and black-served non-profit organizations.

Today is August 1, marking the first day of . This year, the Lexington Black Prosperity Initiative is bringing this global movement local with the inaugural Lexington Black Philanthropy Week. From August 19-23, LBPI encouraging Lexingtonians to support local Black-serving, Black-led nonprofit organizations. And with $40,000 in matches + prizes available, your donations will go even further!
