It will focus on social, emotional, and academic readiness. It will cover practical tips for establishing routines, fostering a love of learning, and building the skills necessary for a positive and successful school experience.

TALB Retirement / Scholarships Extravaganza 2024!

Congratulations to the recent school districts awarded State Community School Grants🎉

CTA fought back against a proposal that would have eroded our guaranteed school funding with Proposition 98. Over Memorial Day weekend, we reached an agreement with the governor on a new path forward for our schools and communities.

This agreement ensures that students, educators and families aren’t impacted by cuts to the classroom this year while protecting future year education funding.
This agreement is also “fiscally neutral” and will not negatively impact other areas of the budget including health care and social services. As we grapple with a massive deficit in our state, we will continue to work with allies to protect fundamental public services that our communities deserve.
In the coming weeks, we will continue our advocacy with legislators along with our public campaign to protect public school funding in the state budget.
