Thanks to the quick response for our LA City Firefighters, a fire in Boyle Heights was quickly extinguished, protecting nearby homes from been engulfed in flames. Despite the dangerous conditions, the LAFD's effort comprised of 32 firefighters efficiently knocked down the fire with no injuries reported.

A great day in Los Angeles as families joined our LAFD firefighters for . This year, our theme is "Celebrating Community Resilience", with a focus on strengthening the connections that benefit our entire community in times of crisis. Mission accomplished.
On December 16, 2023, over 80 firefighters responded to a massive fire in South Los Angeles, which they were able to extinguish and in the process protected local businesses from being lost. One of those businesses is owned by Harrison Karabel, who wrote a letter of appreciation to the Los Angeles Fire Department thanking the actions by our brave men and women who risk their lives daily to protect our city. It's a job our members do proudly and we're grateful to be able to serve Angelenos like Mr. Karabel, his family and their employees.

Proud to attend the annual luncheon honoring the 2023 Firefighter of the Year - Los Angeles Fire Department Captain II Richard Moody.
A massive fire raged through a downtown Los Angeles textile building earlier this month, sending towering flames and plumes of smoke high into the air.
It took 120 firefighters more than four hours to get the blaze under control, leaving the building a total loss but fortunately thanks to their efforts, no injuries were reported.

Emotional video from earlier today as the final Los Angeles Fire Department Firefighter who was seriously injured in the Wilmington explosion on February 15th was released from the hospital.
Firefighter Dan Goen is now recovering at home with his family. He is the last of the nine firefighters injured in this explosion to be released from the hospital. May God continue to watch out for Firefighter Goen, his family, and all of the LAFD Firefighters injured that day.
