Cybersecurity With Human-AI Collaboration - USC Viterbi | School of Engineering ISI researchers are integrating AI into cybersecurity operations to defend from cyberattacks and aid analysts.

: March was extra special for USC Viterbi’s Graduate Programs as we not only successfully hosted various Admitted Student Welcome events on campus, but also across the globe in East Asia, China, and India🌏! Looking forward to seeing all these new Trojans in the Fall✌️

A HUGE Fight On ✌️✌️ and congratulations to BME master’s student Drew Whigham. At the recent NSBE National Conference, he took home 1ST PLACE in the first ever Entrepreneurship Showcase. After advancing past the virtual semi-finals in March, he competed in-person against 5 other startups. Attendees included the judges, collegiate NSBE members, industry, and NSBE professionals. During NSBE50 Convention, he pitched his idea for 10 minutes, took Q+A, and presented proof of concept. He is dedicating his first place prize of $2500 to future patenting, prototyping, and conferences in NYC, Toronto, and Miami.

“Over this NSBE entrepreneurship journey, I have enjoyed learning from numerous mentors, professors, medical professionals, and investors, strengthening my profile as a biomedical entrepreneur. I’m especially grateful for my fellow USC NSBE peers. Their support carried me across the finish line and made my NSBE50 extremely successful. I will never forget that wonderful experience. 💛❤️”

: On March 8, the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) welcomed our newly admitted BME Master’s students at our annual Fred S. Grodins Biomedical Engineering Research Symposium, where our current Ph.D. students had a chance to present their passion-driven research on cutting-edge research areas.

We were also delighted to have inspiring speakers from various BME labs across Viterbi, sharing their valuable insights and perspectives through their research!
